There are 16 different gears available on the Polaris Predator 500. The first five or so of those including 1-2 first gear, 3rd gear through 5th gear, and so on up to 16th gear, can be engaged by pushing either one of two thumb-located switches down.

If you're in, say, 10th wheel position but want to increase your speed or go into another wheel position for another task then just press down the desired thumb switch until it moves into that wheel's space.

When each new wheel is activated its numbers will light up in white on your dashboard display screen. All wheels lower than the active one are inactive with a "gear lock" warning appearing at their bottom edges.

How many horsepowers does the Polaris predator 500 engine have?

Polaris predator 500 top speed - 107 mph

Horsepower - 550 at the crank, 470 at the rear wheel. The Polaris Predator 500 is built to stand out.

It's driven by a V-twin engine that pumps out 50% more horsepower than its predecessor and plenty of torque to get up and go. Tubular frame means strength and stability for those sweet offroad adventures you've been waiting for.

In standard form, it produces about 170 horsepower. The Predator 500 also comes with an optional performance package that lets you bump its power to 188 horsepower for sportier handling and on-roader speeds of up to 59 mph!

What Polaris predator models have Polaris made?

There are many Polaris predator models, but one high-performance model is the 500 top speed at 135 hp. Officially called the Polaris Predator 500 FI, it starts at about $14,000 and can be purchased via The Motor Pool at Jeep House.

The Predator 500 has a very respectable 140 horsepower to weight ratio that would give an adult male rider zip around any backroad or off-road area with ease, taking on hills with speed and torque. Get ready for some serious fun!

Polaris doesn't disappoint in terms of all-wheel drive, front suspension preload adjustability (including rear), engine location protection cage, and low seat height making tackling even tougher terrain easier than most vehicles designed for such purposes.

Where can I find Polaris predator 500 top speed?

The Polaris Predator 500 was never marketed as "a top speed" bike rather it is a "rider's bike." It can hit 60 miles per hour but not much more.

Can Polaris predator 500 make 100 mph?

Polaris predator 500 top speed is 76 mph. To reach 100 mph, Polaris would need to have a drive system not limited by engine power.

It's a fact that most engines hit their peak mass of torque around the 3000 RpM mark on the tachometer and lose more as they climb, meaning that even if Polaris Predator 500 had an unlimited engine it wouldn't be able to go over 56 mph.

Don't worry though - there are many other things you can enjoy this model for, as it's designed as a trail-ready ATV. In addition to its excellent suspension and roaring V8 engine, this beast offers whopping horsepower with 154!

Conclusion:

The Polaris predator 500 is a really good quad. It has lots of power and I think the Polaris designers did a great job on this design even though they discontinued the engine.

Because it’s basically with a KTM 525 cc engine but still has 48 hp more power than Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki. And I rode all of them and now own a Polaris Predator which is a good quad.
