Midsize pickups are popular in the U.S., with Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet, GMC and Nissan offering them. Toyota is by far the most popular model in the U.S. Its earliest model was the Nissan Frontier. Nissan recently announced the launch of its new Navara in other countries.

Nissan Navara and global Frontier lineup's Nissan Intelligent Mobility features include Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, which helps reduce accidents ) and Emergency Braking, which is activated during traffic to avoid collisions and relieve road stress. The truck is equipped with the Intelligent Around View Monitor, which uses four cameras to help the driver navigate tight Spaces, parallel park and pick up the trailer more easily.

The all-wheel-drive pickup also has a new off-road vehicle monitor to check for obstacles at low speeds. One feature of the new pickup is a stronger rear axle, which in turn brings increased payload capacity and additional carriage volume. The rear bumper now has an integrated pedal, making it easier to access the compartment. The new steering rack improves maneuverability at low speeds and over the entire range of steering responses.

Nissan will introduce a more sporty Pro-4X version of the pickup, with black badges, orange protruding front bumpers, black grille, door handles and roof rack, as well as cabin panels with 17-inch black wheels and all-terrain tires. Nissan said the pickup will go on sale to customers in Thailand in December, with other markets to follow later. It is not clear when the truck will show up in the United States.
