What is it?

Ever thought about starting a car club?

Many people are looking for things to add to the enjoyment of life and learn new things...

Do you like to drive?

Do you like car shows?

Or maybe you like to throw parties or hold fundraisers? These are all things that interest people in car clubs...

Here are two great articles by Lowrider Magazine on how to start a lowrider club but the same basics would be used for a show and shine club or even a drift team... I like autocross because it gives you an officially sponsored event to attend and keeps racing off the streets... Check this out!

I might be letting my excitement show for these things through rambling on but if you can find a group to hang out with and talk cars with people that know the details you will understand why.

There is a business side to having a car club if you choose to, you may use it to help the community... What I mean is that with the proper leadership and business plan a car club can be developed as a not for profit organization (a 501.c3) which may accept donations that you could use to help our youth build a car as a team. You may choose to hold events, car shows, or community gatherings to bring the community together... You may even ask for other local business take part in sponsoring the group or even all the cars in the name of good vibes.

As a club, you can help build camaraderie and build friendships with people that are like minded in certain ways. I like being part of clubs that will do good things in the name of building the culture like having a day where you go and clean up part of the roads that aren't being taken care of. Maybe you can all go and cut the grass of some folks' yards that need some help... By doing things like this, you will find good people that will spread the word of your group and maybe even help sponsor events or might have some parts stacked away in their garage, no guarantees of course...

Try looking in your area from other groups that are loosely based around cars like trail riders, kayakers, fishing fanatics... Take notice that even though they may not think of their cars as "custom creations" look at the modifications they have done to them to make them more useful or enjoyable for their hobby...

The car culture is about expressing your creativity and using your mind to build something! Go, create, and have fun!
