Hi I am thirty years old and this is my first car. Yup, I used my parents car for the longest time, then I used my parents car and I used my parents car and then I used my sister’s car. Some of you maybe dropping jaws on how selfish I could be? I am using my family’s cars like that! I always paid for gas, I’ve taken them to the car wash, I took good care of them and I have not been in any accidents. Yes, my dad did pay for a lot of the maintenance for them, but he did buy them. They were not my cars. I have only driven Volovos for my entire driving career. Until it was time for me to get a car. There are a few reasons for this purchase. Even now this car is not mine because technically it is mine and my husband’s car as he did contribute to paying for it. We didn’t even take out a loan, which now we can’t under any circumstance go out for food and I think it’s totally worth it.

Anyways, the time came where I decided I cannot drive my sister’s Volvo S60 for the rest of my life and my husband and I still don’t have children, so this is the time to buy a new car. We started looking at second hand vehicles from private sellers. We came across a decent Subaru Forester 2014 and we test drove it. All I could think was this is a horrible car, it was a CVT engine and it jerked and tossed us around. I tried accelerating and the struggle it had made me cry on the inside. We said “no thanks” and we carried on with our journey of looking for a new car.

We found an Acura RDX from 2008 from a dealer in our home city and booked in the test with the dealership. It drove like a dream, but I could not see anything in that car. I had to really turn my head just to see if I could merge lanes, then we could hear the engine working with small “poufs” that we could hear. The brakes were great, but the rust was everywhere, it did not have any fun amenities either. We saw what other other options the dealer had and he suggested we drive the Nissan Murano I had low expectations, but when I sat in the car it was comfortable, it still had physical buttons for the climate control which I loved. I drove it and it did everything I wanted it to, it accelerated quickly and the brakes were fantastic. It has a back up camera, it has android auto and Apple CarPlay, it has a heated steering wheel and it has a remote control start. When it is cold in winter, I will be able to start the car and warm it up before getting in and going. I have never had these features before in any car. It’s so exciting to have all these creature comforts that I was not expecting to have. This car was truly a dream, we went in and my husband and I talked about it and decided to swing it and pay full cash instead of payments on it. The 2018 Nissan Murano is great. I love it and I think it is a car that I will always look forward to driving. I am so glad that we moved ahead to buy this beautiful car. I am excited to see what adventures we will have in this car.
