The LED fog lamps on both sides of the front bumper are also outlined by chrome trim, which has a very classy feel. In addition, like the trim level, the new generation 5 Series Touring can also be equipped with the optional M Sport package, which includes larger front bumper air intakes and a variety of 18-20 inch M Sport wheels.

Compared to the current 5 Series Touring model, the new model does not have more changes to the side window lines, the shape of the side windows between the C and D pillars follows that of the current model, but the closing lines are sharper. As with the previous generation, the new generation 5 Series Touring's taillight shape still has a small adjustment compared to the trim level, especially the two are opposite to the inner corner lines of the light cluster. At the same time, the new car in the rear window below the obvious upward design, and the rear aerodynamic performance compared to the current 5 Series Touring model may have improved.

The rear bumper of the M Sport model has a black color separation design, which is paired with a bilateral two-out quad chrome exhaust outlet; while the regular version (including standard, sport, and luxury models) is expected to be paired with a bilateral two-out round chrome exhaust outlet. In terms of body dimensions, the 530i Touring Edition in the official data, for example, has an external length, width and height of 4943/1868/1498 mm and a wheelbase of 2975 mm, of which the wheelbase has a slight increase of 7 mm compared to the current model.

Interior, the new car compared to the trim version of the same not much change, dark/beige with the interior color scheme reflects a certain sense of warmth, while the M package models equipped with a three-spoke multifunctional sports steering wheel, as well as the application of full LCD instruments, the 10.25-inch central display also makes it not lose its sense of luxury and sport. In addition, the trim level is equipped with a head-up display, BMW Cloud Connect, assisted driving system, and center control gesture control are also equipped in the new car, while some models are also equipped with rear axle adaptive air suspension to increase driving comfort.

The trunk volume of the new 5 Series Touring is 570 liters, and its rear seats support a 4/2/4 proportional split, the trunk volume can be expanded to a maximum of 1,700 liters, compared to the current model has 30 liters of increase, while the new car's rear window still supports independent opening, convenient for the driver to quickly access the luggage in the trunk. In addition, the new car also has a 120 kg increase in load capacity compared to the current model, with a maximum load capacity of 720-730 kg depending on the model.

In terms of power, the new generation 5 Series Touring is only available with 2.0T/3.0T gasoline/diesel engines (see table above), as the 530e I Performance plug-in hybrid and the high-performance M550i xDrive are missing compared to the trim level.
