BMW's 4 Series Coupe officially launched

BMW's 4 Series Coupe model is officially launched. The BMW 4 Series Coupe is divided into two displacements and two drive forms, and each power model is also available in three design packages: Style, Luxury, and Sport, for a total of 12 models.

BMW 4 Series Coupe Model Introduction

The BMW 4 Series Coupe was born as the first model of the new "4" series, but we can see through its exterior styling that the new car does not completely depart from the "shadow" of the current 3 Series models on sale, but follows most of its design elements. The front part, of the new car, still uses the iconic "open-eye" headlight design, and the double-kidney grille is connected to the overall very strong. The fog lamp area of the front bumper is very rounded and has a more sporty look than the 3 Series model.

BMW 435i Coupe

The main feature of the BMW 4 Series Coupe is that it uses a more streamlined side shape than the regular 3 Series models, and adopts a two-door design and frameless doors, which are the only features of the Coupe models.

The BMW 4 Series Coupe has a length and wheelbase of 4638/1825/1362 mm and a wheelbase of 2810 mm compared to its direct rivals, the Audi A5 Coupe and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe, while the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe has a higher height and the Audi A5 Coupe has an advantage in width. The Audi A5 Coupe model has more advantages in width.

Compared to the short-axle version of the 3 Series with the same door, the BMW 4 Series Coupe has the same wheelbase of 2810 mm, but the new car has more advantages in terms of length as well as width.

In terms of the interior, the BMW 4 Series Coupe also refers to the design language of the current 3 Series models on sale, and the overall workmanship and shape have obvious traces of the family design. The new car will be available in a variety of interior colors such as black or brown, and the upper part of the center console is decorated with red decorative strips or brushed metal decorative strips throughout, with a stronger sense of movement. In terms of materials, the new car's interior also incorporates more aluminum, wood, and leather materials.

In addition, the BMW 4 Series Coupe is equipped with a three-spoke sports steering wheel with a new I Drive system that supports handwriting functions, while the HUD head-up display function, automatic LED high-beam control, and pedestrian collision protection will also appear on the high-end models. At the same time, the new car also offers 18-inch and 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels as an option depending on the design package.

In terms of powertrain, the BMW 4 Series Coupe will be equipped with a 2.0T high-powered turbocharged engine and a 3.0T turbocharged engine. The 428i and 428i x Drive models are equipped with the 2.0T high-powered turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 245 hp and peak torque of 350 Nm; the 435i and 435i x Drive models are equipped with the 3.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 306 hp and peak torque of 400 Nm. As for the transmission system, the two engines are matched with 8-speed automatic transmission.

Sport Design Package: The BMW 4 Series Coupe Sport Design Package model incorporates more black glossy elements in its appearance, with a rear tail lip with black trim strips and black exhaust tailpipes at the rear. The interior is mainly colored black and red, with red leather seats and a three-spoke sports steering wheel with red stitching.

Luxury Design Package: The front of the BMW 4 Series Coupe Luxury Design Package is decorated with a large number of chrome trim strips, and the interior is also decorated with a large number of chrome trim and high-gloss wood trim, and two interior materials and four interior colors are available.

Style Design Package: The BMW 4 Series Coupe Style Design Package model is decorated with matte chrome trim on the front and a light-colored center console and a dark pearl shell-colored steering wheel with black interior trim available.

BMW 4 Series Coupe Competitors

The BMW 4 Series Coupe, as a more sporty two-door coupe model, will have its main rivals pointed at the Audi A5 Coupe and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe. They also have more streamlined lines, two-door design, and frameless door shape compared to the regular version, and are both positioned in a sporty style and targeted at the same user group. The BMW 4 Series Coupe comes as the successor of the original 3 Series coupe version, which will carry a tougher flag and face very fierce competition with a new identity.
