Amazing sports cars you can actually buy at an affordable price.
You do not have to go broke to own one.
Do you dream of owning a sports car?
With the prices of cars skyrocketing, enthusiasts are struggling to own their dream cars. Even with no down payment car loans; the cost of EMI is out of budget for most of us.
So what can you do? Should we allow this to stop us from dreaming and fantasizing about our favorite piece of machinery that makes our heart skip a beat.
Hell No!!!!
Here is what you can do, buy a slightly used and well-maintained car with low mileage. Also enjoy quite a few benefits that come along, such as low purchase price, low insurance cost, and a ton of fun customizing to your taste.
There are a few things to watch out for in your next sports car -
1. Stick to cars that are well known for reliability.
2. Not all cars have good manual and automatic transmission. Do your research and get the one that is stable over the long run.
3. Don't fall for marketing gimmicks.
4. Don't trust any advice without research.
5. Don't be a snob over manual or automatic transmission. It's wrong to judge a person based on the transmission of his/her car. Enjoy what you like to drive. There are some cars with an automatic transmission that shift a lot better than humans.
Here is a list of some amazing sports cars on a budget.
Mazda Miata
Miata is a terrific sports car with rear-wheel drive and one of the best manual transmissions on the market. In no sense is this a fast car. Where Miata shines is in handling, take this car to back roads, and you will have a smile the whole time.
Miata had four iterations, namely NA, NB, NC, ND. Most famous being NA for those pop-up headlights. Miata's are known for their reliable engine, 15-20-year-old cars still tearing the street. You can buy NA for $5000, NB for $10000, NC for $15000, though ND is expensive at around $25000. As you can see, Miata is for everyone and every budget. So go ahead and make your weekends fun.
Lexus IS350
Lexus has great sports cars under its belt, such as LFA, LC500, RCF, etc. Believe it or not, IS350 and ISF set the foundation for the creation of these cars.
IS350 has a beautiful and reliable engine which will last you a very long time. With +300 horsepower, this car can go fast, and with premium leather interiors, this is one of the best luxury sports cars you can buy.
IS comes in both Rear-wheel drive and All wheel drive variants. For enthusiasts like us, RWD is the best option. However, if you live in regions where it snows, opt for AWD, and you can have a ton of fun.
You can own this beauty within $10000, which is mind-boggling. Within this budget, you will be hard-pressed to find another car with such reliability and performance.
Ford Fiesta ST
If you love autocross, this is the best option for you. ST is fast, lightweight, and can drift, the trifecta of autocross.
Available with only a manual transmission, this may be a letdown for some people. However, I highly recommend learning to drive a manual, it is not as hard as you think and loads of fun shifting your gears.
Some good tires and swaybars will enhance the handling, and you will be ripping the course.
At just $10000, Fiesta ST is for enthusiasts who enjoy autocross, and even daily driving is fun in this car. Sit in the included premium Recaro seats, and you are in serenity.
As you can see, you don't have to go broke to own an amazing sports car.
In short, if you need an RWD sports car that can handle those backroads with ease and provide smiles per miles, go with Miata. If you need a luxury sports car that is super comfortable for daily driving and can go fast, choose Lexus IS350. If you want a manual car that is fun and is an autocross monster, go ahead with Fiesta ST.
Note - Drive safe, always remember to wear a seat belt. Do not drink and drive.
