Acura's new MDX debuted

The new Acura MDX debuted in China for the first time, the new car is a mid-life model mainly upgraded with a new family design style, while for the power adjustment, it will be officially unveiled to the public at the Shanghai Auto Show, which opened on April 19, and then will be officially launched in June. At the same time, it was officially announced that the Acura TLX will be unveiled domestically in 2017.

MDX can be said to be an Acura model most familiar to Chinese consumers, and it was once one of the best-selling Acura products in the Chinese market. With the release of the Acura PRECISION concept car in 2016, the new MDX led by the new design language was officially unveiled at the New York Auto Show in the same year, and now after a year, the car will officially enter the Chinese market.

Under the new design language, the new Acura MDX looks more fierce and dominant, the main reason is the elimination of the fog silver center mesh, changed to a more exaggerated front grille, while the full LED headlights with five linked beads plus LED light belt design, the shape is also sharper. In addition, the new car front is surrounded by a one-piece vent design, and both sides are also equipped with LED daytime running lights and chrome decoration, so the overall visual effect is more prominent personality.

Side view, as a mid-cycle model, the new Acura MDX did not upgrade the sidelines, the overall look is still a slender atmosphere, with the new 20-inch wheels, can give a more American SUV-like feeling.

The rear design is not as exaggerated as the front, compared to the taillight group internal light cavity structure has been optimized and added a new bilateral two-out chrome exhaust decoration, has overall more flamboyant compared to the current model.

Interior design, the new model does not change much, and even the whole seems to have some "out of fashion" feeling, compared to the same level of products to create a sense of luxury is somewhat inadequate, but the good thing is that the new button-type gearshift mechanism can bring some freshness.

Power, concerning the overseas version, the new MDX 3.5L model is equipped with a 3.5L naturally aspirated V6 engine with a maximum output of 294 hp and a peak torque of 362 Nm, the transmission system matches a 9-speed manual transmission and can be equipped with an optional SH-AWD four-wheel drive system; while the new MDX hybrid version is equipped with a set of 3.0L naturally aspirated V6 engine and three electric motors, its combined maximum power reaches 325 hp and peak torque 462 Nm, the transmission system matches the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and comes standard with SH-AWD four-wheel drive system. It is expected that the future entry into the country should be the hybrid version.

Competitors.

As a luxury mid-size SUV, Acura MDX will face a market of masters, of which the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, and Audi Q7, Volvo XC90 four luxury mid-size SUVs occupy the main share of the class. At the same time, the appearance of products like the Infiniti QX60 and Jeep Grand Cherokee also make this market more competitive, and the future of the new Acura MDX in this class is not an obvious competitive advantage.
