In luxury and costly cars like Porsche there should be such features that would give the passengers a best travelling experience, but it would hurt more if such feature or such systems do not work. Here I’m gonna discuss about such a feature known as ACC and various signs of ACC malfunction in Porsche.

ACC and its functions

The full form of ACC is adaptive cruise control. It is such an advanced feature that helps a driver to drive while free from stress. It generally becomes a stressful journey by car if it is of long term. Drivers have to drive for a long time for a long distance consistently controlling the car to be safe. So the adaptive cruise control (ACC) makes such journeys simpler just by minimizing your work. So how does it helps the drivers? It allows the driver to drive even by taking their foot totally out of the gas pedal or the accelerator.

Do drive in a constant speed, generally, drivers need to keep the gas pedal pressed, but the adaptive cruise control make you drive even without pressing the gas pedal. So you just have to control the steering. This definitely makes the driving free from stress and also makes the car safer. ACC uses certain sensors to monitor the positions of other vehicles, pedestrians and other obstacles on your way in front of your car. These sensors or radars located at the front of the car detects if any of these obstacles on your way come close to your car and more likely to hit and then alerts you, warns you so that you can release the gas pedal and apply brakes, or steer your car out of the area.

The adaptive cruise control can be made on and off by pressing the button provided for ACC at the steering. The adaptive cruise control can only be enabled by attaining certain speed or above. Then this cruise control allows you to set the speed for drive. When you take the car to that speed, the adaptive cruise control works to make your car drive without applying the gas pedal and maintains the speed. Adaptive cruise control requires electricity to function. If there is any faults at electrical system, then the ACC would not work.
