The car will come with the same 1.5-litre 115 PS four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine as the outgoing model, available with both 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox options. However, there will also be a new 1.5-litre 160 PS four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine shared with the Alcazar, which will be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Not only that, but the Verna will also feature segment-first features such as a switchable infotainment and climate control interface in the lower centre console. The car's cabin will also be equipped with two 10.25-inch full-HD screens, including a fully digital instrument console with fonts and layouts similar to the Kia Carens, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
