Although Ireland is known for its beautiful natural landscapes, it also has a wide variety of wildlife that can be seen here. From sea creatures and land animals to birds and insects, the country has plenty of diverse species to keep you entertained. There are over 50 types of land and sea animals that can be seen here and over 400 bird species.

Aside from its beautiful natural landscapes, Ireland also has plenty of native animals that can be seen here. If you're planning to visit the country, there are five natural areas you should visit.

Phoenix Park

Although it may seem like an odd choice, the Phoenix Park in Dublin is a great place to visit if you're interested in seeing animals that are native to the city. This seven-square-kilometer park features a zoo, but it's not necessary to pay to see the animals.

The park features a variety of animals that live in the forests and grasslands, such as the beautiful fallow deer. While it can be hard to spot these animals at first, you can usually catch a glimpse of them by riding a bike or driving through the park.

Dingle

Being known for its famous aquarium, the town of Dingle in the County Kerry is known for other beautiful aquatic life. One of the most popular attractions in this area is the bottlenose dolphin known as Fungie. He enjoys interacting with people and enjoys boat tours.

This area is also known for its various animal attractions, such as the dolphins that live in the bay. If you're planning on visiting the site, check out the various activities in the area.

Rathlin Island

Located in County Antrim, Rathlin Island is a small island known for its beautiful natural landscapes. Aside from its natural beauty, it also has plenty of bird species, such as the common and the great egret. It's also home to one of the largest puffin colonies in Ireland and the UK.

Puffins are known to appear during the summer season when it's perched on the island's western shore. A short ferry ride away from the town of Ballycastle is also a great way to see this bird.

There are also plenty of other birds that can be spotted in the area, such as the razorbill, guillemot, and kittiwake.

The Wild Atlantic Way

The Wild Atlantic Way is known for its incredible driving routes. While driving through the region, you'll pass some of the most breathtaking coastal views in the world. While going through the area, keep an eye out for marine life that can be seen in the area, such as basking sharks and porpoises. Some of the best places to spot these animals are in the areas of St. John's Point and Malin Head.

If you're looking for a rare animal that can be spotted near the coastline, such as the world's second-largest whale, then the area between Kerry and Cork is a great choice.

Glenveagh National Park

One of the best places to spot animal wildlife in the Glenveagh National Park is in County Donegal. This region is known for its various animal species, such as the red deer and the badgers.

One of the most popular animals that you can see in the Glenveagh National Park is the golden eagle. This bird is one of the animals you must see in your lifetime and is located right in the park.

Overall, there are lots to see in Ireland that are worth it. It is a sight to visit, from the landscape to the animals. The country has too much to offer in culture and diversity as well.
