Known as the Garden City, the tiny city-state of Singapore has plenty of things to delight children like loads of attractions, ease of public transport, a clean environment, kid-friendly amenities and much more that they will not be bored for a moment. Complementing these are its safety as a destination, ease of travel formalities, good connectivity by air and lots of things to do as a family which come at no extra cost but promise excitement, fun and happy moments together.

Singapore is Clean, Green, and Safe

Singapore’s strategic urban city concept ensures the cleanliness of the environment which is appreciated by all visitors. The streets are free of litter and the walkways are well paved enabling strollers to do a smooth run and children to walk about. The concept covers maintaining green spaces like parks, tree-lined streets, walkways, and other pockets of green spaces which are a pleasure for many visitors.

Furthermore, no vaccinations etc. are needed to enter Singapore, this is a great relief to families travelling on holiday with kids.

Visitors including families with children are spoiled for choice with the attractions in Singapore. Based on the ages of the kids and their interests the attractions must be selected to give them memorable experiences. Although Singapore is considered an expensive city and some of these attractions can cost a tidy sum they are truly enjoyed by children and will be cherished by them. The good thing is some other attractions come free.

Singapore Zoo and Jurong Bird Park - Both are encounters with animals and birds through which you see how children perceive the animal world and learn to appreciate experiences through their eyes. (Has a fee)

Singapore Night Safari – This tram ride takes you through different geographical locations of the world showcasing the nocturnal creatures, the 40-minute ride is a thrilling experience for children. (Has a fee)

Sentosa Island – Situated on the southern coast of Singapore’s main island Sentosa Island encompasses several attractions including world-renowned Universal Studios. Loads of attractions are available for the whole family at Sentosa as well as at Universal Studios. (At a fee)

Getting to Sentosa Island can be by Taxi, Monorail or Cable Car. For guests from properties like Grand Park City Hall it is about a 15-minute ride by taxi.

These attractions on Sentosa Island are free and provide many hours of pleasure – Sentosa Sensoryscape, Fort Siloso Skywalk, Palawan Beach, Beach Courts, and Sentosa Musical Fountain.

China Town – The Red Lanterns, low-rise buildings with Chinese Culture flowing over to the streets can be understood in the aroma of Chinese Cuisine in this area. The sidewalks are full of shops, eateries and shophouses.
