India, a country with a population of 1.3 billion people in the world ( I know that's huge), is a country that has always worked, not only for the upliftment of its own people, but also, it has been continuously working to support countries throughout the world, especially its Asian neighbors. But do you think that it is appreciated the way that it should've been? Well personally I don't think so, and in this post I'm gonna tell you about some great initiative that India, as a country, has started so that this world becomes a better place to live.

1. Championing Renewable Energy use:

With being the only big country in the world to meet the Paris Climate Agreement targets, India is doing well in its part to prevent the world from Climate Change and its adverse effects. Also, India has been continuously promoting the use of clean energy throughout the world and has formed the International Solar Alliance for urging other nations to follow the same. With having such a big population which ultimately leads to huge energy demands, the country still has pledged to move towards achieving its self-determined goals in reducing carbon emissions and is also continuously protecting the wide variety of flora and fauna present in its subcontinent. So, doesn't that look like the actions of a responsible nation?

2. Sending Covid-19 vaccines and getting the world out of the pandemic:

Known as the pharmacy of the world, India has yet again proved that it's always standing with the world in situations of crisis, by providing millions of vaccine doses to countries throughout the world. Also, under various schemes launched by the government, the country has been able to successfully vaccinate about 2 crore people, (as of when this article is being written) in its own country. So this has discarded the "in-efficient" and "incompetent" tag given to the country's health infrastructure by western health expert.

3. Fighting terrorism and Militancy:

Being the biggest victim of cross-border terrorism and militancy by its neighbors since decades now, India has always termed terrorism as the biggest threat to the world, and has called for a uniform action against terror sponsoring states time and again, at various international forums and summits. But despite of this, we've not seen some stricter policies against such nations by world bodies. Why is it so? does a big nation like India, doesn't deserve to be heard? or maybe the world bodies responsible are acting at the behest of some "powerful" nations and falling prey to their lobbying? Well who knows what the reason is.

4. Providing an access to its huge open market to every country:

The largest democracy in the world - India, is also the largest free and open market in the world, where the terms 'free' and 'open' hold significant value because of the fact that, the markets in some of the big countries are not free and open anymore and if they are, then also there are huge taxes and governmental controls. But this is not the case in India, as here, big international companies not only earn a big part amount of their revenues in the country but also they work and hire on their own terms and conditions, without policies such as some kind of governmental interference or special corporate taxes. So isn't the country an amazing market to invest? well, in my frank opinion it surely is.

5. Biggest contributor to UN Peacekeeping Force:

Well, this may sound a small thing to some people but we must remember that India, despite of not being a permanent member of UNSC, is still, contributing a large number of its troops to the peace keeping missions of UN in some of the most unstable and dangerous areas of the world. None of the other so-called "responsible" permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, contribute in such huge numbers to the UNPKF.

So isn't all of this feel so positive to hear? Isn't it great that a developing Asian nation with so much on its own plate, thinks so much good about the world? Well, we'll leave that decision to you but frankly our opinion is that it's high time that world recognizes the efforts and gives India the appreciation, it truly deserves.
