Aaaaaaah, vacations. Remember when people relished time off, no work, and staying away from friends and family? In March, I thought quarantining was going to be like a vacation. Only two or three weeks, and the virus would be gone forever and we could go back to normalcy!

Oh, how innocent and stupid I was.

This summer, I was supposed to go to Italy, Poland, and Hungary with my family and best friend. Although the trip was cancelled, it has been postponed to 2021. With a second wave of coronavirus sweeping across the country, it's unsure if it will be safe to travel by August. I'm crossing my fingers and trying to keep the faith.

In the meantime, I've been thinking about all the places I can travel to once COVID-19 is, for the most part, over. Yours truly graduated college this year and doesn't have a full-time job. This means for the first time in my life, I'm not tied down to any institutions or workplaces. Pure freedom! If COVID-19 weren't a thing, I could literally buy myself a plane ticket and go anywhere I wanted. A part of me contemplated doing that in January: flying to Paris without telling anyone. It didn't happen, but it was cool to know it was possible.

Besides Paris, I've been thinking about other places I could travel to. With 193 countries in the world, it's hard to make a concrete decision. Therefore, I designed this personality quiz to help me AND you figure out where we should go once the pandemic is over!

For each question, pick the letter answer that speaks to you the most. Keep track of which letters you choose. There are six results at the bottom of this page. The result that corresponds to the most letters you choose is your dream 2021 destination! (If you have an equal amount of two letters, just look at both results.) You'll find an itinerary of places to go, foods to eat, and lessons to learn with your perfect getaway.

Are you ready? Let's get started...

If You Got Mostly A's...

Japan

You're probably a friendly, loyal, and intelligent person who is very up-to-date with current trends. Beautiful Japan is your post-quarantine getaway! This country has it all: scenic forests and mountains, majestic temples and castles, and a bustling shopping district in Tokyo. You'll love the glow of all the neon at night. Definitely go in the springtime to see pink cherry blossom petals cover the trees and streets. Go in the summer, and you can attend an exciting Matsuri festival with floats, parades, and fireworks! Make sure to try the ramen, tori katsu, udon, soba, bento boxes, and of course, sushi! In Japan, you'll be surprised by how clean the cities are, as well as how polite locals can be. You'll learn all about tranquility and balance in the land of the rising sun.

If You Got Mostly B's...

Italy

You love the finer things in life, and may come across as a traditional, astute, and mature person. Italy is perfect for you because of its rich history, astounding architecture, delicious food, and sunny climate. In Florence, you'll learn all about the renaissance from several art galleries and the 700-year-old duomo. In Rome, you can visit The Colosseum and the wondrous Trevi Fountain. (Toss a coin and make a wish!) And in Venice, you'll see pretty boats and bridges as you row through the canals. (Hopefully the dolphins are still there, too.) Authentic sangria, gelato, and pizza with fresh mozzarella await you as you shop for quality fashion items. Italy is known for the best leather in the world, as well as prestigious brands like Valentino, Versace, and Prada. You'll never want to leave, and you'll learn how this country's opulent past contributes to our enlightened present. As soon as you're able to hop on a plane again, andiamo!

If You Got Mostly C's...

Spain

Spain is one of the most popular travel destinations, and it's perfect for you. You're active, bold, colorful, and may be something of a party animal. Boredom is not an option for you. Therefore, you'll find Spain's good weather, great food, and fantastic nightlife very enjoyable. In Barcelona, you'll see whimsical architecture by Antoni Gaudi, as well as the awesome Picasso Museum. Then there's Madrid: a city with a party-hard reputation known for its vibrant neighborhoods and gorgeous parks. You'll listen to flamenco music while enjoying dishes like tapas, paella, and grilled fish on the Marbella beach. Go in the summer! If you're feeling foolhardy, you could catch the famous Pampalona Running of the Bulls. Just make sure you're out of the way when it happens! There's also La Tomatina in August, when participants get into a huge tomato fight! (Everyone's soaked in red by the end of it.) In Spain, you'll learn to unwind and not take life so seriously. If you're looking for cheerful and funny people to mesh with once social distancing is in the past, turn to the Spaniards.

If You Got Mostly D's...

Greece

You're a cultured, inquisitive, and imaginative person who enjoys beauty and good stories. Greece has it all: ancient relics, astounding beaches, and the most mouthwatering food in the Mediterranean. Learn all about the ancient Greek empire and its gods when you visit the famous Acropolis, Mount Olympus, and the Epidaurus Theater. You can also take a look a the blue rooftops of Santorini, and chow down on some baklava, choriatiki (Greek salad), and gyros. Don't forget about the authentic olive oil! You'll find the people very bright, and eager to talk to you. It's a relaxing place with a very proud history, and the perfect place to burn off 2020 stress. Greece will teach you to let out your inner god or goddess.

If you Got Mostly E's...

New Zealand

The most naturally scenic result in this quiz, New Zealand is for brave, soulful, and motivated people like you. This country's landscape is surreal. There's Milford Sound, a region formed by glaciers with beautiful cliffs, mountains, and waterfalls to explore. If you want to fish or sail, visit the Bay of Islands. You can scuba dive in the water, and maybe even see some dolphins or whales on a boat tour! And of course, go to Waiheke Island if you're looking to taste some wine and learn more about Māori culture. Did you know there are glowworm caves too? When it comes to nature, New Zealand has it all. While you're there, make sure to try the scrumptious kiwi meat pies, hokey pokey ice cream, and anzac biscuits. This is an underrated country - many don't know New Zealand was the first to split the atom or give women the right to vote. After this isolating year, you'll have a much-needed adventure. Get lost in it all!

If You Got Mostly F's...

France

You're a person who lives in unconventionality, independence, and artistry. That's why France is the perfect place for you to explore. This country is more than just the Eiffel Tower in Paris - it's also home to the romantic Loire Valley, the beautiful beaches of Cannes, and fun ski slopes of the French Alps. When you're there, make sure to try all the gourmet foods. You have a lot of options: crème brûlée, coq au vin, macaroons, ratatouille, soufflés, crepes, and croissants! If you're feeling brave, maybe even try some escargot. (It's not as bad as you think!) Drink lots of delicious wine and visit art galleries, like the famous Louvre, while you're at it. After a horrible year, you're bound to leave this country feeling spiritually, emotionally, and creatively inspired. C'est la vie!
