Hi guys!

I recently went on a trip to Norway, I had a great time, but I encountered some problems. I put the wrong items in my carry-on bag. Most of my personal items removed during security in Frankfurt, such as face wash and heat-protective hair oil. What they did was throw it away. It came as a surprise to me. It is likely that many of you already know how expensive those items are. Having learned what not to pack in a carry-on, I compiled a list of what not to bring below.

1. Liquids - Make sure you pack liquids correctly in your carry-on bag. Nowadays, liquid limitations are pretty universal. You must keep all liquids in containers that do not exceed 3.4 ounces or 100 millilitres. It is recommended that all containers be stored in clear zip-top bags. It should also be noted that larger bags for liquids are not allowed.

2. Sharp Objects - As you can see, this one is obvious. In carry-on luggage, sharp objects are not allowed due to the fact that they can be used as weapons. When packing your luggage, you should ensure that any sharp objects, such as razor blades, are packed safely.

3. Sporting equipment - There are some items that cannot be brought on a plane as a carry-on, such as ski poles, baseball bats, pool cues, bows and arrows, hockey sticks, or other sporting equipment containing poles, bats, word sticks or clubs. The reason for this is that they can be used as weapons. I think it is a smart idea to rent equipment at your destination if you are travelling and plan to participate in sports during your travels.

4. Self-defense items - This means that items like pepper spray or mace are not allowed in a carry-on bag. There is a possibility that this could be considered a weapon. In the event you would like to bring mace or pepper spray on your trip, you are allowed to bring one container of four ounces in your checked luggage as long as it is equipped with a safety mechanism to prevent it from bursting. If you want to bring them, make sure with your airline.

5. Tools - A carry-on bag is not allowed to contain most, but not all, tools. When it comes to bringing tools with you, you will need to put them in your checked luggage if you plan to take them with you.

6. Nail polish - So, if you are planning on bringing nail polish on the plane, it is best to pack it in your liquid bag. I would advise you not to paint your nails on the plane due to the fact that there will be a strong smell associated with it. Passengers may feel disrespected.

7. Perfume - It is good to care about how you smell, but the smell of perfume can be distasteful and irritating to a great number of people. In fact, there are even some people who are allergic to perfume, so it's always a good idea to be careful when bringing perfume on a plane. As long as the perfumes comply with the rules concerning liquids, they can be taken on board in carry-on baggage. As a matter of fact, it is a smart idea to wait until you reach your destination before applying perfume and spraying it on. By doing so, passengers on the plane will have an easier time breathing during their flight. It would be nice if you could be kind to the people sitting next to you or skip perfume altogether.
