KUSHAVARTA TIRTHA (HOLY POND):

Kushavarta Tirtha exists at the center of Trimbakeshwar town. It has great religious and mythological significance. At Kusha Varta Gautam, Rishi caught sight of a flow of the Ganga Godavari River, and he obstructed the flow of the river with the help of a blade of grass. Thus it is called Kushavarta Tirtha.
