The Ultimate Bucket List Experiences

Our life is very long, but still not enough to experience what our beautiful world has to offer. There are so many things, so many moments, cultures, festivals, experiences, people, places that can inspire us. Unfortunately, most of the people live these moments only in their heads. But to those who are fortunate enough to be able to enrich in some of the experiences, I have a list just for you of the things that you must do.

1. Skydiving in Kauai, Hawaii

Even though skydiving is not an exclusive experience, given that almost all of the major tourist attractions offer it, skydiving in Hawaii needs to be on your list. With beautiful views of turquoise blue waters and majestic mountains, the views are endless. Skydiving is honestly a once-in-a-lifetime experience because the peace and calm that you experience up there is unlike any other. Even with our rapidly beating hearts and crazy wind speeds, going through the clouds makes you realize your solidarity. It gives you an opportunity to let go of all the fears and have no regrets in the end.

2. Deep Sea Diving in Costa Brava, Spain

Spain is honestly one of my top bucket-list places to visit; it just has so much to offer. One of the things that I want to do while in Spain is deep sea diving in Costa Brava, which is approximately a two hour drive from Barcelona. It's an exclusive experience as the serenity of the deep blue waters, the fishes, and the corals make you feel as if you are in another world. The things you can see underwater include shipwrecks, caves, sheltered coves, tunnels and aquatic animals such as octopi, fan mussels, sponges, tuna, sun fish and many more.

3. Paragliding in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland

THE most incredible experience that you can have while in Switzerland is paragliding in Lauterbrunnen over snow covered Alps, deep green valleys, and Schillthorn. This one-and-a-half-hour ride over this beautiful village will be a definite highlight of your trip. Even if you're doing it for the first time, going for a tandem ride (with an experienced pilot) is your bet option. All you have to do is enjoy the ride and the pilot will do rest of the work. This is a must do experience while being in Switzerland, and it can be done on a reasonable price.

4. Yee Peng festival in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Better known as the 'Floating Lantern Festival,' the Yee Peng festival is held in Chiang Mai every year. It's a festival where hundreds and thousands of lanterns rise in the night skies. According to the locals, it's a merry time of the year, as that's when the rivers are filled to the fullest and the moon is the brightest, making it the perfect opportunity to light your lanterns and wish for a good fortune in the new year. There are a lot of other things that happen along the with lanterns that include Thai dance shows, and the Yee Peng parade.

5. Holi - The Festival of Colors in India

As they say, always save the best for the last. As I'm an Indian, I've experienced this festival for the past six years of my life. It takes place in the month of March all over India; there isn't a specific place it's held at, but the best place to experience the festival is to go up north, in cities such as Manali. It's basically a festival of colors which people celebrate by spraying colors on each other and playing with water balloons. The themes behind the festival is that it's a celebration of love, and it commemorates the divine love of Radha for Krishna (Hindu god).

No matter where you live, these are some of the experiences that you must have at least once in your lifetime, and I promise you won' regret participating in either of them.
