So many adventures here in Costa Rica. Imagine all of the joy that so many people have experienced either on vacation or living here. Costa Rica is a magical place. . actually, one of the happiest countries on the planet. And our job is a very important one. . to simply SHARE with you the hundreds of stories that we collect from friends, family & clients! ​ One of the many cultural icons here in Costa Rica. . a warm & friendly meeting place. . kinda like "Cheers"! Remember that old sitcom that was so popular many years ago? NORM used to walk into the bar and EVERYBODY KNEW HIS NAME! Well, there's nothing like SETTING YOURSELF UP to be the "NORM" of Costa Rica. . all it takes is a warm smile, a generous tipping schedule and having a kind heart! Of course, we're talking about the Costa Rican SODA! For those of you who have never been to Costa Rica before, the soda is a diner. Every small and big town has one or more. It's a place where you can go to enjoy gallo pinto. . a cup of fresh, flavorful hot coffee. . a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. . freshly-squeezed orange juice. . killer chicken soup. . the list goes on and on. What usually happens is that after a week or two, you'll have sampled a few and one will stand out from the others. Each soda has a personality of its own. I guarantee you one thing. . YOU WILL FIND a soda that you'll love and will visit over and over again!

​ If you spend a few days in San Jose, I would suggest going to the Mercado Centro, or the "CENTRAL MARKET". It's located about two blocks west of the center of town. . about two minutes walking distance from the Teatro Nacional. The Central Market was built in 1880. . over 140 years ago! Walking into this amazing structure is like going back in time. It's filled with vendors, selling everything from socks to hats. . from fresh fish to herbs & spices. . from freshly-ground coffee to limes and tomatoes! And, of course, there's about ten or so sodas. . serving up fresh coffee, gallo pinto, pork sausage & doing so with lots of love and kindness. When you sit down at the counter, you do indeed feel like you're the star of the show. You're greeted like you're a member of their family!
