I Got Scammed by a Polish Transit Cop!
Let me say something: I believe people, though probably inherently good, are capable of immense and irredeemable evil. Turns out a lot of those people choose to be transit cops in Warsaw. This is not a complaint letter; I acknowledge that the system works in this way, and that a belligerent American tourist won’t change anything of note. Don't Move to Boone, NC
The historic North Carolina town of Boone, founded in 1850, was named after the famous American pioneer and explorer Daniel Boone. And it's also the home of Appalachian State University or ASU. Due to the ever increasing number of students applying for the school every year. The town of Boone has become mainly a college town. With a fair number of apartment housing units and employment opportunities for students needing income to cover their education. Appalachian State is also famous for it's sports program. Such as the ASU Mountaineers college football team on ESPN. A small handful of big city conveniences that can be found within the county side. With many things that tourists can also enjoy. Including restaurants, shops, live sporting events, etc... Of course Boone also offers health care for when needed. From dentist offices to a fully staffed hospital.

London Calling
Twenty-four years ago, I departed London after having spent a semester abroad. My time in London was a formative experience since it was my first time living abroad and being away from my family. My first week was spent at the college in Uxbridge, now named Brunel University, in northwestern London, which partnered with the State University of New York, College of Brockport, in upstate New York. The first week in the university dorms allowed the students to search for an apartment or flat in British vernacular and get accustomed to British culture, including the Pub Culture and eating plenty of "Fish and Chips."
