We'll begin with the Portuguese island of Madeira, located in Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa. Madeira is often called the Hawaii Europe, because the island was born of volcanic origins. If you love hiking or just relaxing on the beach, Madeira is the place for you. Punta du Sol is a great place for swimming. There is no sand, only smooth Boulders, but the ocean is amazing to swim in. A great place to go cliff jumping is Pico de Arriero, one of the tallest points on the island. The elevation is so high up until you will often be in or above the clouds. The hiking there is a sight to see. The trails are so well maintained, you get some of the most phenomenal views. Pico Dugato is nice if you're up for an adventure.
