Concise

Everyone wants to travel alone without any pressure. I am going to share my first-time experience to travel alone which was also my first international travel journey.

I will also be sharing the travel guide with all the challenges I faced while my first solo travel.

Inception

It all started in August. Things were packed I was ready to take my bus to Raxual India. My alarm ranged I woke up left my home and took the bus for Raxuaul. It took one hour to reach there.

I was standing at the Indo Nepal border of Raxual. Indians don't require a passport to enter Nepal. After all the process of immigration, I was excited to keep my feet in a Nepal city named Birgunj.

Crossing Indo-Nepal Border

I was officially inside Nepal. Let me start with the weather. The weather was welcoming and very pleasant all the sky was filled with black clouds.

I was so happy to see the dark weather in the sky tough any mountains were not visible. I went to the local shops to exchange my money. I would recommend all of the travelers first visit 3 to 4 shops before exchanging the money with the local currency.

After my money was exchanged I was headed to the next shop which could be smelled before 5 feet away. Yes, it was a restaurant or dhabha. I was craving food. I reached there. The aroma of the restaurant was surrounded by the air. I chose to sit outside. I ordered chicken and tandoori roti ( Indian cuisine ).

Once I finished eating I went to buy a sim card which required my Indian documents. People other than India can buy a sim card by using a passport xerox.

Journey to Kathmandu

Once I finished all the necessary works I headed towards Kathmandu. There are two options to go to Kathmandu from birgunj other than air. The first one which I took was sumo services usually a vehicle bigger than a van. The other option was the bus services, but the services from the bus are operated only at night.

After a long journey of a total of 7 hours counting zig-zag roads surrounded by mountains and clouds we finally reached Kathmandu. To express in words will not be respectful to mother nature.

I decided to roam around the city before taking a hotel. I visited many parks enjoyed the weather which I could never forget.

Chandragiri

I stayed in a hotel at night the next day I visited Chandragiri. First, I took a taxi to the roap way.

When I sat on the roap way it was a lifetime experience because on the way when I was hanging up I could see Mt. Everest covered with all-white snow sun was shining on the top and the Everest was looking enormous. Totally after 15 minutes, we reached the top.

There was a park food court at the top we could see the whole city of Kathmandu from the top with a glimpse of Mt. Everest. I stayed the whole day at the top had many clicks of the beautiful nature. There was a mini forest at the top. Which included few animals like horse rabbits peacock etc.

At 6o clock, I decided to return to Kathmandu from the ropeway. it took hardly 10 minutes. I rested at the hotel after having dinner.

Visiting Pashupati Nath temple

The next day I decided to visit one of the most sacred temples of lord shiva i.e Pashupati Nath Temple. I took a local bus with the help of google map which took me to the temple.

Once I reached there I bought some prasad (offerings) for lord shiva. There was a huge line in front of the temple.

I waited for my turn, after waiting for nearly two hours finally I reached inside the temple. I prayed and worshiped for my family and friends. After that, I was very tired.

Casino

At night, I decided to visit the most famous casino in Asia whose name was Deltin casino. I never had visited a casino in my life. I decided to play with some of my savings. I enjoyed it a lot there time flew there. At last with a profit of 15 USD, I left for the hotel.

I decided to roam around the city after dinner as it was my last day in Kathmandu. I came across many cultural products which fascinated me a lot.

Summing Up

After one week of travel approx, I returned to India. It was an awesome experience.

I will recommend you all to visit Nepal once in your life.

It cost me Approx 150 USD for my trip.

I visited in August so the weather was pleasurable but I will suggest you all keep some warm clothes with yourself.
