One of the world's best aerial tours is a helicopter flight over the Everest region. Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek is an excellent way to experience flying like a bird above the valleys of Everest. Who doesn't want that? This tour can be done in any season as long as the weather conditions are favorable on that day which is another plus! This tour allows you to spend time at Everest View Hotel located at the highest altitude and enjoy the scenic beauty and heavenly landscapes with breakfast.

Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour Itinerary and Offerings

1. Kathmandu – Lukla

Early in the morning, a helicopter tour departs from Kathmandu for Everest Base Camp. The Himalayas are clearly seen during the helicopter ride from Kathmandu, and a blue sky is visible above the smog of the Kathmandu Valley. Fantastic views of the Kathmandu valley with its gentle hills and ridges can be seen as the helicopter ascends, with the stark contrast of the white snow-capped peaks to the north. Then, we take off for Lukla, a stunning Sherpa village, and the entrance to the Everest region.

Along with the mountains, you can see breathtaking landscapes, waterfalls, villages, and much more from above. You may see an endless chain of snowy mountains as you fly parallel to the Himalayan mountain range. When the helicopter lands in Lukla, you can take in the breathtaking scenery surrounding the village.

After spending some time touring Lukla, the helicopter stops at Lukla to refuel. This Helicopter Tour takes you via lovely mountain Sherpa villages, where you can get a glimpse of their traditional homes and ancient monasteries from the medieval era with their pure surroundings.

2. Lukla – Everest Base Camp (Kala Patthar Landing)

Later, the helicopter flies above Everest Base Camp, giving you a clear view of the world's highest peak as well as Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Thamserku, and Khumbu Glacier. To go to Everest Base Camp, the flight passes over the Monjo, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Lobuche Gorakshep, and Khumbu glaciers. You can enjoy a helicopter trip across the entire Everest region with the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour.

Eventually, the plane lands in Kala Patthar, the highest point of the journey where you can enjoy 360-degree views of Mt. Everest and other peaks.

3. Everest Base Camp (Kalapatthar) – Syangboche

We spend 10 to 20 minutes in Kalapathar before heading back to Syangboche at 3880 meters to take in the expansive vistas of Everest and other peaks. You can take in the stunning Himalayan scenery from here without having to worry about the effects of altitude.

Eventually, you will take a flight to the upscale Everest View Hotel, the "First Premium Hotel in the Everest Region". This hotel is located high at an elevation of 3960 m (12,992 ft). It once held the Guinness Book of World Records as the "Highest Placed Hotel in the World". We stop here for breakfast since it's the ideal location, with serene surroundings and beneath the towering peaks of Mt. Ama Dablam.

4. Syangboche – Lukla – Kathmandu

After breakfast, we'll have a fantastic view of the Everest massif as we take off on our helicopter journey down to Lukla. Then, after stopping here once more for refueling, we fly back to Kathmandu to put an end to your once-in-a-lifetime Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour.

How great it is, to experience all of these great moments within a time frame of just a few hours.
