Searching for Happy!

Do you know where It's hiding?

By Novel AllenPublished 10 days ago • 1 min read

Happy is never gone, it just enjoys being mysterious

A little imp perched just beyond your imagination

But...Why is it always hiding?

Happy loves being a shape‑shifter, curled up in the shadows

pretending to be made of warmth and stubbornness.

Happy is petty, and it’s waiting for you to call its name correctly -

the longer version it secretly prefers: Happiness‑When-I-Feel-Like-It.

Happy is always watching you, waiting for you to find it.

Then delights in watching you squirm...as it fiendishly slips away.

It’s perched on the edge of your laugh,

waiting for you to stop looking for it in all of the wrong places.

For Where it actually is

Is sitting right behind you like a mischievous child,

holding a flashlight, grinning and whispering...

“I wasn’t hiding. You just weren’t looking crooked enough.”

Impish happiness

Happy shifts from eerie to ethereal.

She appears in angelic form

A luminous nymph...a surreal companion - soft...haunting

Her glow is like moonlight through water, her hands gentle

Her presence mystical and tender.

If you seek true happiness...you may find her. But beware...

For she is fleeting!
