Asia

Cambodia

Cambodia is an Asian country located southern portion of the Indochinese Peninsula in Southeast Asia. You can get close to wildlife by staying at the Shinta Mani Wild – Bensley Collection located in the Southern Cardamom National Park. The park is one of the few surviving habitats for wild elephants, monkeys, and other endemic species in Cambodia. Accommodation is provided for adults only. It includes an infinity pool, spam, and wellness center, and an open-air bath.

This five-star luxury tent has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and a private bathroom. All units have seating and dining areas. Continental and full English/Irish breakfast options are available. You’ll find that Otres Beach is within walking distance. The restaurant serves African and American cuisine as well as Argentinian and Cambodian dishes.

The camp is secluded with luxury tents set up along the riverbank. The accommodation gives you the feel of how it would be to go on a luxury safari in the Cambodian rainforest. You can take a boat expedition on the waterways.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is an island nation in the Indian Ocean. Aarunya Nature Resort & Spa sits on a hilltop and is named after the Sanskrit word for “first rays of the sun”. The collection of luxury private villas are surrounded by spice and tea gardens and overlook the Knuckles Mountain Range which is listed as a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site. Malaysia

Malaysia is a country located in Southeast Asia. The Datai Langkawi offers luxury accommodations with 121 gazebo-like rooms, suites, and villas. Rooms have verandas from which you can watch monkeys jump about the canopy. This resort is surrounded by lush tropical rainforest and views of the Andaman Sea and Tuarutao Island. Thailand is in the center of the Indochinese Peninsula in Southeast Asia. Soneva Kiri is a secluded island resort with 34 earth-friendly wood villas. Rwanda is a landlocked country in eastern central Africa. The Wilderness Safaria Bisate Lodge sits on a semicircular slope with awesome views of the Volcanoes National Park. The lodge has been built according to Rwandan building tradition. This is a luxurious rainforest-based lodge that offers the most thrilling primate experience, trekking gorillas in Africa. There are six en-suite forest villas. You’ll also find a wine cellar, library, spa, restaurant, and tree nursery. The rooms are accented in emerald green and black and white chevrons. Bedrooms have double beds, bedside tables, lighting, a separate seating area, and a private veranda to enjoy views of the national park.

The Caribbean

Dominica

Dominica is an island country on the island in the Caribbean. Secret Bay is for romantic getaways with villas scattered around the bay sitting atop a cliffside. The luxurious house accommodation includes a plunge pool and sundeck. The villas have inside and outside living spaces with covered terraces and spectacular ocean views. There are kitchens that are stocked daily with an organic breakfast basket. The rooms have free WiFi.

Central America

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a Central American country that is bordered by Nicaragua to the north and the Caribbean Sea to the northeast. Accommodation is available at the Pacuare Lodge, a sustainable nature retreat. It is surrounded by virgin rainforest. You can enjoy views of the Pacuare River. There are luxury villas available with outdoor showers and spring-fed pools. Among the choices is the Jaguar Villa with its own bridge over the river and tree platform. The Canopy Villa can only be reached by a private suspension bridge and offers 360-degree views of the river and jungle. All together there are twenty suites on the banks of the Pacuare River.

South America

Ecuador

Ecuador is a small South American country that straddles the equator. It has four distinct regions – The Andes, the coast, the Amazon, and the Galapagos Islands.

While visiting Ecuador a wonderful place to stay to be near nature is the Gaia Amazon EcoLodge. It is located in the Amazon Rainforest which is one of the seven natural wonders on Earth. It is rich with both flora and fauna. The Lodge is an amazing architectural project that offers tourists the opportunity to listen to the sounds of the jungle, see the beautiful Napo River, and watch birds and monkeys jump around the surrounding trees. It is surrounded by a cocoa tree plantation.

There are 20-guest rooms that are light and airy. They have high ceilings and large windows. Each of the rooms has a veranda with a hammock from which you can view the river and the action in the forest. Nocturnal choruses will serenade you in the nighttime. The accommodation consists of three cabins with two separate rooms each, in single, double, triple, or quadruple for a total of twenty guests.

There is a main building that includes a dining room, restaurant, and kitchen. The social area has hammocks and there is a bar serving snacks, cocktails, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic drinks.
