Munnar a Beautiful Place

I have traveled to more than ten countries, and nowhere has my heart stolen than this. On every summer vacation, I travel to this place with my family. There may be more attractive places than this, but this is the most beautiful place I have ever seen.

Munnar is a tourist destination famous for tea plantations, mountains, valleys, trees, wildlife, and beautiful forests. It is a small town in South India located on top of a mountain. I had to travel approximately 300 miles from my location to reach Munnar. Even if it took 10 hours to travel, it would never be stressful but exciting every time. Munnar is a hill station with a rug-like tea plantation. This place is heaven for mountain lovers like me. If I want to blow some steam off, this is the first place that comes to my mind.

The dreamlike atmosphere of harmony and tranquility makes you think that this place is heaven. Every time I always feel grateful for the opportunity to visit this lovely place.

Tea Factory

Munnar Tea Factory is open to the public to taste and understand the tea manufacturing process. The tea factory has large machines specially designed to process tea. It gives tea distributors an insight into the tea industry. Extensive knowledge can be gained about different types of tea, their benefits, and processing techniques.

Lion Headed Mountain

It is on top of a mountain known as Kolukkumalai. To reach this destination, you have to take a jeep and hike for about fifteen minutes. When you reach the top, the view is mesmerizing. The mountain looks like a lion's head. The beauty of this place makes you aware that nature is god's art.

Echo Point

The Echo point is a popular destination for holidaymakers, who are drawn by its mountains and lakes. As the name suggests, when you shout at your highest pitch your voice reverberates back to you as an echo. This natural phenomenon occurs because the waves are reflected back by the mountain range.

Spices

Spices are used as an essential food additive in Indian cuisine. Munnar is home to some of the best spices like pepper, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon. In the city center, you can find several stores selling locally grown spices. Fresh spices are usually more flavorful, but fresh spices are a bit more expensive.

Local food

Especially this place offers a large selection of fresh, cheap and delicious food. For me, travel has always been about trying local produce and food. You can taste a variety of curries made with coconut oil. Plus, the best place to try some freshly fried banana chips. Some of the best locally grown teas can also be sampled here.

Munnar is the place I have been to since my childhood. It carries a lot of memories and love. When you find yourself traveling in South India, this place should be added to your list. If you have an adventuresome spirit and a passion for the mountains, then this is the trip for you.
