London's Kew Gardens
Golden Hour in the Royal Botanic Gardens...
Nestled in Richmond, Kew Gardens is London's horticultural den of tranquility. It is certainly worth the trek to see this South-West London beauty, any time of year! I visited last month, camera in hand, to explore its 75 acres of lush landscape—where it's seemingly Golden Hour all day long.
Student Tickets are just over a fiver, and this grants access to all of the garden's attractions. The Hive is a sculptural installation near the Orangery café. Modelled on the structure of a beehive, guests are invited into the home of our fluffy yellow friends. Decked out with over 1,000 LED lights and its own calming soundtrack (in the key of the bee's buzz!), the Hive even has machines underneath the structure which allow you to feel the vibration that bees use to communicate through your bones!
Aside from this popular feature, Kew really does have many hidden gems to look out for. It's definitely a good choice if you're looking for somewhere a little different from the tourist attractions that London is famous for. With so many areas and climates to lose yourself in, you're bound to find something special to gaze at this Autumn. Get going!
