India is very very diverse - probably the most diverse of countries that you will find on this earth. We have some of the coolest place in Kashmir, A place that has highest rainfall in world - cherrapunji, and also one if the driest places on the Earth – The Thar Desert. Adding to that – More than half of Indian boundary is home to beautiful beaches. And don’t forget that Northern part of India hosts Himalayan Ranges snow capped mountains.

Mix all this with different cultures and hundreds of Languages and Dialects – You have a got a potent mix of diversity. If you really think, I really am amazed that with such diverse people & geographies how do we operate as one single democratic country

Anyways, I am digressing here. Let me now give you

1.Agra

Taj mahal, Delhi

Agra's Taj mahal is one of the most famous buildings in the world. Its one of the new seven wonders of the world and one of three world heritage sites in Agra.

The beautiful building, finished in white marble, is a perfect example of Mughal architecture, as are the Agra fort, Akbar's Tomb and Fatehpur Sikri. Also a great place to gorge on wonderful Mughal food.

2.Goa

Goa is considered one of the best tourist place to visit in India. Its white sandy beaches, palm tree, low tax rate, amazing coastal cuisine and laid- back attitude make it a wonderful tourist place in India. In the summertime tourists from across India come to spend the holidays.

3. Amritsar

The Golden temple, Amritsar

Founded by Guru Ram Das in the year of 1577, Amritsar is considered the spiritual capital of Sikhism. The holist gurudwara of the Sikh faith, The golden temple is situated at the Centre of old town. Its is locally known as Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara.

4.Shimla

Kulfri, Shimla

Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, is one of the famous hill stations in India. With the Town Hall at its Centre and the breathtaking view of the Himalayas this place attracts a lot of tourists. To know the real legacy of Shimla, you can visit the viceregal lodge, Christ church and Gorton castle. During winters, the snowy mountains and narrow alleys are worth viewing and exploring.

5.ooty

Ooty

Udhagamandalam, also knw0n as ooty, is a hill station in the state of Tamil Nadu. The pleasant climate, the view of India's Western Ghats and the peaceful atmosphere make a great tourist place for both family and friends. It is famous for its tea plantation, lush garden, British era bungalows and spicy food. It is usually crowed during the summer holidays, as many families spend a week or two here. Once a small town, Ooty is today a buzzing tourist Centre with plenty of activity all year round.

6.Allepey

Backwards in Kerala

Alleppey is one of the ten most gorgeous location in the world, according to the National Geographic Traveler. Located on the Malabar coast, the backwaters of Kerala show case the true beauty of nature.

It is also famous for its Ayurvedic massages. Of course, you cannot miss the houseboat experience and the lovely Kerala cuisine, especially Malabar chicken curry and puttu.

7.Jaipur

Hawa mahal

Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, is popularly known as the 'pink city' and is famous as a tourist and education destination in India. There are only a few cities that capture and showcase the rich history of the past and Jaipur is one of them.

Lots of people flock to Jaipur to view the various forts and monuments in Jaipur which reflect its glorious past. Tourism is a significant part of Jaipur’s economy. 8.Ladakh

Ladakh

Ladakh, the capital of lek, is the eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Ladakh is known for its pristine lakes, freezing winds, glaciers and sand dunes. It has kept it distance from the modern world- and thank heaves for that.

The humbling monasteries of Shey, Hemis, Alchi, Thikse and Lamayuru will nurture your spiritual needs, and the landscape of Leh provides for a number of adventure activities including mountaineering, white-water rafting and trekking along the Markha Valley.

9.Mysore

Mysore, located in Karnataka, was the capital of the kingdom of Mysore from 1399 to 1947. Mysore is known by many names as Garden city, Ivory city, city of yoga and city of palace.

One of the most visited monuments in India, the Ambavilas Palace (also known as Mysore Palace) is the center of the Dasara festivities.

10. Darjeeling
