Phuket’s shimmering waters, silky sand and mountainous backdrop make it a mesmerizing holiday destination. Years of tourism have made Phuket a veritable comfort zone with plenty of amenities. From beach days, hikes, good food and parties, this seaside party town offers guests a wonderful atmosphere to make memories. In this article, we discuss how to make the most of a sojourn in Phuket.

How to find the right accommodation in Phuket?

If you are lucky enough to afford Phuket luxury hotels, you might as well look for a beach-fringed location. Contact hotels like Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas to see if they offer any deals. Always, check if the hotel offers easy access to the beach and other attractions. This way you can take a day or two to simply enjoy luxurious care and the beach.

How to enjoy beach days in Phuket?

The stunning stretches of sand along the shores of Phuket beckon everyone to relax and enjoy waves, warmth and sand. You can use the private beach near your hotel and visit Patong, Karon and Kamala for some fun beach times. You can get yourself a scooter and beach hop to your heart’s content. If you visit Patong beach you can enjoy water sports like parasailing, banana boat rides and jet-skiing. Kata beach never seems to get crowded with its casuarina trees. Mai Khao beach is ideal for those who wish for some sea solitude.

Visit Monkey Hill to watch macaques

Monkey Hill is a natural habitat for bold macaques. You can go for a short hike and enjoy observing the mischievous monkeys. You should not try to feed or touch these intelligent creatures, although they would try to get some food from you. Keep a respectful distance and watch them. You can drive to Monkey Hill viewpoint in a car or scooter but be mindful as it is pretty steep. There is a restaurant at the bottom of the hill, and they offer Thai food.

Take a stroll to the Naka Weekend Market

The Naka Weekend Market is a bustling affair in the Old Town. You can buy trinkets, handmade soap bars and oodles of Phuket’s delicious street food. Sometimes the market puts up a musical and dance performance worth catching.

Visit the gorgeous Wat Chalong

Even if you are not a temple person, you’ll find Wat Chalong appealing. The local people consider it sacred as it is supposed to be home to a splinter bone from the Buddha himself. The scenic grounds of the temple nestle between the lakes and lovely hills of Phuket. You can nibble on some street food from the handful of street food stalls.

Go to a party of two in Patong’s gay district

Phuket is famous for its parties. None does it better than the LGBTQ+ party scene in Patong Beach. You’ll find that the nights seem to stretch on forever and cocktails flow in all its variety while the party spirit lingers until wee hours in the morning.

Try a zip-line adventure through tropical forests

Make your way to some water parks and bungee jumping places in Phuket’s rainforests. You can try the Flying Hanuman in Kathu – a vast adventure land for a thrilling time with friends.

Go on a cruise to the James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay

The scintillating Phang Nga Bay sees visits from many boats and cruises on a daily basis. You can book a private luxury cruise to enjoy the views and hospitality. The James Bond Island as the name suggests was part of the 1974 installment of the franchise.

Visit Koh Sirey to witness Phuket’s old spirit

A small and serene island, Koh Sirey is not as developed as the other islands and is scattered with pretty temples and idyllic village life. The natural landscape soothes the soul, and you will feel the charm of the old days.
