The island of Sentosa is a renowned tourist attraction in Singapore. On this island, you will find action-filled theme parks, attractive beaches, an array of restaurants and lots of thrilling activities. If you have a day to spend at Sentosa, you will be able to experience many of its major attractions, enjoy tasty food and have plenty of fun as mentioned below.

Pose at Madame Tussauds

You will find that you can enter Sentosa from mainland Singapore by either road, cable car, sky train, or pedestrian bridge. The quickest method would be by taxi or rideshare.

A great way to start your day here would be by visiting Madame Tussauds, a hugely popular wax museum. You will find that the initial exhibit, World Leaders, features political leaders of the past from nations like Singapore, China, Malaysia and India, in addition, to easily recognisable leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Queen Elizabeth II and Barack Obama.

Moving on, you may enjoy the Film and TV section where you could pose alongside your favourite movie stars as well as find scenes of famed blockbusters like The Terminator. On the other hand, in the Sports section, you will have the opportunity to “mingle” with celebrities like Yao Ming, David Beckham and Tiger Woods. You also have the chance to enjoy a stunning Marvel 4D Cinema experience at Madame Tussauds.

Experience S.E.A. Aquarium

A great locality at which to enjoy lunch would be Silosa Beach where you can savour a tasty meal at one of the restaurants amidst the pleasant surroundings. After lunch, the place to go would be the remarkable S.E.A. Aquarium which happens to be a superbly designed and laid out attraction.

At this massive aquarium, you will have the opportunity to view more than 100,000 marine creatures of almost every imaginable size and colour in its numerous tanks. You will notice pink, orange, purple, yellow and rainbow-coloured fish! The major attractions here include the overhead shark tank, the dolphins and without doubt the spectacular viewing gallery. This remarkable feature resembles an enormous fish tank as well as a movie theatre, displaying creatures like manta rays, stingrays, sharks and other kinds of fish. You will also be able to observe marine life such as jellyfish, moray eels, sea dragons and starfish at this aquarium.

Enjoy Universal Studios

Undoubtedly, one of Sentosa’s major attractions would be the amazing Universal Studios theme park. You will see that the main avenue within this theme park contains attractive cafes and themed stores such as Minion Mart, where you will find branded toys, clothing, souvenirs, accessories and so on.

Within Universal Studios, there are seven distinct themed zones. The exciting Sci-Fi zone boasts some breathtaking rides on huge rollercoasters based on movies like Transformers and Battlestar Galactica. Not to be missed would be the Ancient Egypt zone which features a thrilling indoor rollercoaster drawing inspiration from The Mummy. You will also find some exhilarating rides in the Lost World zone which happens to be inspired by the Jurassic Park franchise. Rather different is the Happily Ever After zone based on Shrek; here, you will have the opportunity to experience a 4D movie and many other interesting features and attractions. An accommodation choice to consider from which you could easily visit Sentosa and Universal Studios would be Park Hotel Alexandra which is a pleasingly located hotel near Harbourfront Singapore.

Have dinner at Quayside Isle

After the thrilling excitement of Universal Studios, you will need a pleasant locality at which to relax and unwind and an excellent choice would be Sentosa Cove. You will find that this upscale residential neighbourhood features a marina filled with lavish yachts, luxurious condominiums and Quayside Isle; this happens to be a cafe strip on the waterfront containing international bars and restaurants. Here, you will be able to take a leisurely stroll alongside the harbour and enjoy a delectable dinner at one of the appealing restaurants to round off your day at Sentosa.
