Every couple’s dream vacation is some quality time or a honeymoon in the Maldives, the paradise islands. There is so much that is romantic about the Maldives from its sun-kissed beaches, to its beautiful seas, lush marine life and luxurious hotels. If you are planning to take your significant other on a trip of your lifetime. There’s plenty to plan and you can choose two kinds of trips to have, so make sure that you read widely and then head off on the perfect trip to the Maldives.

Make it a Week

How do you know what too much and too little of a holiday in the Maldives is? Some people might love to be surrounded by sunshine and turquoise beaches all day, if you are that kind then, by all means, stay as long as you need to. If not, then your perfect amount of time in the Maldives is about a week or five days. There are plenty of things to do in the Maldives when you are staying, whether you pick the option of island hopping or staying on your resort island and enjoying yourself. Stay a week tops and make it the perfect ending to this chapter of your story.

Splurge in Luxury

There are plenty of Maldives island resorts that you can stay at, so splurge on the luxury. The Maldives is home to many different luxury resorts the likes of Grand Park Kodhipparu, that are known for their impeccable service and high-quality amenities. When you are picking on a hotel to stay at, look carefully at the amenities and location and decide if you want to spend the entire time staying within the resort or exploring the surrounding islands. Your choice will inform the kind of resort you choose.

Explore Your Resort

If you want to spend your week within your resort, enjoying the amenities, indulging in spas and eating to your heart’s content, then that would be grand. Since it is so much you can do within the resort, you don’t need a plan. Most resorts have private pools and large and gorgeous pools that you can lounge about. You can charter a boat from the resort to go around the island, try some scuba diving with the hotel staff and snorkelling depending on what you would prefer to do. There are also distinct amenities such as state-of-the-art spa facilities, excursions and tours guided by the resident marine biologist.

Book Full Board

If you would rather like to stay at your resort, also consider booking full board so you will be saving up in deals and not having to order expensive course meals. Staying full board will enable you to ignore the little things and solely focus on having the time of your life while at the resort. A full board often comes with special perks that are specifically catered to couples so you may be able to enjoy a free bottle of champagne, or couple spa therapies or even a private sunset dinner shindig. So, check with your resort before you go and make the most of what is available.

Island Hopping

You can also choose to visit the inhabited islands which are a stark contrast from the resort islands and get to know the locals and how they live and work. The people of Maldives are extremely friendly so don’t be surprised if you are invited to hop aboard a fishing trip or to have tea in their homes. Island hopping is a great way to learn more about local customs and cultures.
