Go museum hopping of course! But first, select a central hotel. The most popular hotels in Doha Qatar are those which offer easy access to the souqs and surrounding attractions. You've got choice too amongst the best like Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels By Tivoli. Once you've checked into your hotel in Doha and refreshed, start exploring.

Doha is home to a range of museums from which you can choose themes that appeal to you. The best part though is that all these museums are free to enter! The most iconic amongst them is the Museum of Islamic Art. There an impressive collection of varied artefacts are well chronicled within an equally remarkable building which was designed by I.M Pei.

Once done treating your taste-buds, have a browse of the souq. Shop for jewellery, leather products spices, colourful fabrics and much more. Make sure to visit the antique stalls and souvenir kiosks, to take back some unique mementoes and gifts. Next, head back to your Souq Waqif hotel where you can rest and look forward to a lovely dinner or hop over to the Souq next door for another selection of cuisine from the Arabic world.

Experience desert sands because no one should miss this experience. Qatar is at the tip of a peninsula that's part of Saudi Arabia; hence the nation has both the allure of the sea and shifting sands. A desert experience in Doha is perfect for anyone who has not experienced the thrills of dune bashing, camel rides and visiting traditional desert villages. Dube bashing is where an experienced driver races you across the shifting sands of the gigantic dunes in a powerful 4WD; pretty high on the adrenaline rush scale!

Take it slow and steady with a camel ride across the vast sea of sand and treat your senses to rustic views and a chance to feel like a real Bedouin. You can even visit a desert camp, set up to represent desert villages; ask your Doha hotel about arranging desert tours for the best experience.

Once you head back to your Souq Waqif hotel, freshen up and get ready for dinner. Book a dhow cruise where you can enjoy the Doha skyline from the water and enjoy dinner on the boat. The sunset dhow cruises are ideal for experiencing a beautiful sunset after which you can choose to enjoy a walk along the corniche. Once your walk works up an appetite, head over to the restaurants located there; have to try of the Lebanese options; for delicious meze and some lovely grilled seafood and meats.
