Thailand is well known for its vibrancy. The atmosphere envelopes you and drags you into its innermost sanctums. Your trips to this beautiful nation are bound to be dominated by smells and sights that grip you and will nary relinquish its grasp until it has had its way with you.

The pleasures to be experienced will enthral you and the last thing you want is to be left disappointed simply because your lack of preparation leaves you unable to truly relish what Thailand has to offer. Come prepared to experience all the wonders that lay within this picturesque paradise!

Let's start with the luggage

This is quite frankly the most fundamental part of your preparation that must be considered before beginning your journey. It will greatly affect the ease with which you will travel but each option you choose will have its own set of benefits and disadvantages.

An important factor to consider when it comes to your luggage is the type of bag that you will use to carry everything you need. There are several options in this department. You can choose from a carry-on, a suitcase and a bag for the weekend.

If you are simply visiting a new location for a few days, then a weekender bag is ideal. It is compact and lightweight allowing for easy transportation and giving you space for the essential items such as a laptop, some clothes and books or paperwork. If it is an extended trip for about a week then you should opt for an option like a carry on bag that will provide you with enough space for ample items and keep you ready with your essentials at all times. Last but not least is that big suitcases that will provide enough space to be prepared for over a week with multiple sets of clothes, self-care items, paperwork, electronics, etc.

How about the weather?

When it comes to travelling to Thailand, you can expect your run of the mill tropical climate. However, depending on when you will be arriving you will need to be prepared heavy monsoon rainfalls as well. Therefore, take the time to adequately research when you hope to visit. If you arrive during the Months of March to June, you can expect scalding hot temperatures, whereas July to October will very likely be a wet affair.

What is something that you must have

When it comes to travelling, something that generally goes overlooked is whether you will be able to use any of the plug points in this new country. If you do by some bad luck end up trying to plug in your expensive electronics into an unsupported outlet, there is a good chance you will fry the equipment you are trying to use.

Therefore, always keep handy with you a universal adapter! This will help you get your work do one the move without any hassles and peace of mind. The last thing you want is to be running around a new city looking for new electronics or simply unable to plug anything in.

What not to bring!

Sometimes it is better to simply know what not to bring along on your trip. Given that many attractions in the nation will have some form of religious or cultural value, it is better to avoid altogether packing an excess of heavily revealing attire. It is also recommended that you bring items that are quite easy to wash as you are likely going to be drenched in either sweat or rain based on when you visit. If you are staying at a Bangkok city hotel such as the Pathumwan Princess you may be able to get laundry services done, however, if you travelling around the country, you will need some items that are easy to wash and dry!
