Travelling to China for a holiday is a dream that many of us have, and considering the size of the country, and the cities it has, you may probably think that it's not an easy dream to achieve. Some facts you know about China can be true, and some can be false. So, here's a guide for you to make your China travel much easier and hassle-free.

Family vacations are not a big deal

Many tourists do have a fear to schedule their family tours to China because they think that the hotels there will not be cooperative with their requirements. But, that's not the case. Almost all the hotels in Xi An the likes of Grand Park Xian welcome families with love and they have arranged many family-friendly facilities for them. They have special facilities for kids and sometimes they even come up with handy offers and packages for family bookings.

Know the right usage of currency

In China, different cities have different currency preferences. If you decide to go around Shanghai, you will quickly notice that the taxi drivers and the small vendors prefer coins over any note. But, the situation can be a little different if you head to northern and western China because vendors there directly refuse accepting coins. No matter how small the amount is, they want it to be given in paper money and that's how you please them.

Using language apps

The language problem is one of the major problems that a tourist will be facing during his visit. China is a country with many languages and many more dialects, and because of this reason communicating with the locals may sometimes be a struggle for you. That's why you have some popular language apps in China. Pleco is the most used language app by tourists, and this will make your life easier when in China.

Toilet Paper illusion

Well, the toilet paper problem will not be applicable for most of the guesthouses and hotel rooms that you will choose to stay in. But, yes... toilet paper is rarely found in public washrooms in the country. While travelling and visiting attractions, you may also want to use public restrooms sometimes, and make sure you are prepared for such situations. Carry your own supplies with you, and that will definitely make things so much easier.

Do not worry about safety

Although you must have heard several terrific rumours about safety in China, but note that none of them are really true. It is one of the safest countries for all the solo travellers, and female travellers as well. Yes, considering the massive population here, the cities are chaotic, but it has not gone to an unmanageable state. The air is also severely polluted, but the authorities are taking action to make it better once again.

Ordering rice

In China, you will not get rice unless you ask for it out loud. Some tourists need rice for their meals, and this kind of tourist sometimes struggles in China when dining because their restaurants rarely serve up rice. If you are such a rice addict, make it clear to the waiter by clearly mentioning 'mifan mashang' which means 'rice straight away'.

Loudness does not mean rudeness

Especially if you are a soft-spoken person, you will not like others talking loudly to you, and you may often mistake it for an argument. You can't do this in China. Chinese people converse very loudly, and you will have to get used to it soon. This is how they show their passion to one subject matter, quite surprisingly.
