Singapore has recently become one of the most popular travel destinations in the world, with thousands of people flocking to the city every year. It isn’t too hard to figure out why either, in many ways the city is one that offers a laundry list of world-class adventures. So, if you’re a thrill-seeker that’s looking for your next adrenaline fix, here’s how to make your trip to Singapore adventurous.

Try Some Skydiving

Few things can get the blood pumping like freefalling for over 10.000 feet – and don’t worry, it’s perfectly safe. Singapore has plenty of locations that offer the opportunity to try indoor skydiving but the best options are found in Sentosa Island, a little way away from the city centre. Here there are plenty of skyscrapers that tower over the landscape, and chances are that most of them will allow you to skydive off of the.

Dive Underwater

If skydiving is a little bit too intimidating, you can always try diving of a different sort – namely scuba diving. There’s plenty of tour operators that offer scuba diving in the city – what you want to look out for is where they will take you to dive. Different dive locations contain different marine life and underwater landscapes. For example, you might be in the mood to explore some coral reefs and encounter all the colourful denizens that call it home, or you might want to try something a little more precarious and go cave diving. Once that’s done, if you’re planning to rent out equipment, make sure it is from a reputed supplier.

Go on a Night Safari

Singapore offers the unique opportunity to go on night safaris at its zoological gardens. This allows you to observe what the resident animals get up to once darkness falls. The experience is enriched by how Singapore Zoo has done its best to mimic the natural habitat of its animals, meaning that most animals act like how they would in the wild. Now, you might be expecting most animals to be asleep – and this is certainly the case with most diurnal species – but in fact, this is the time when most of the residents come alive. You’ll be privy to amazing scenes of animals grazing and foraging, some predators might be prowling their enclosure searching for prey, and yet others might be performing mating rituals hoping to attract another member of their species. It’s also relatively easy to get to the Night Safari Park if you’re staying at one of the hotels in Singapore City Centre – like the ones offered by Park Hotel Group. From here, the park should only be a 20-minute drive away.

Walk Along with the Forest Canopy

One of the most captivating and exciting things you can do in Singapore is walking along the treetops of a dense tropical jungle, glimpsing at the forest floor hundreds of feet below you. To have this experience, you first need to travel to the MacRitchie Reservoir Nature Park. It’s a wondrous patch of verdant greenery that’s located at the very heart of the city – a great example of how Singapore has been able to use technological advancement with sustainability. Here you’ll want to look for the Treetop Walk. After paying an entrance fee you will begin your ascent upwards. The first part of the track is relatively flat, but it will start ramping up as you go. This culminates in a 150m long uphill road that’ll take you to a suspension bridge that hangs over the forest. Walking along this bridge can be a heart-racing act as you begin to walk n level with the forest’s canopy. Here the view is immaculate and you’ll even be able to spot various species of native birds roam around your eye level.
