Pop over to Koh Samui for your next holiday, and you won't regret it! This lovely island is just the ticket for those after spotless beaches and a bit of sun. Koh Samui boasts a range of beachside resorts, massage parlours, safari parks, and waterfalls. There's so much to see and do on this dreamy island, you'll soon be thinking about your next visit! Fancy a bit of shopping? Koh Samui's got you covered. From luxury shopping centres to bustling street markets, you’re spoilt for choice.

Chaweng Beach Road Shopping

If you're wondering what to buy in Koh Samui, just head over to Chaweng Beach Road, just 15 minutes from Santiburi Koh Samui. It's a charming shopping spot and quite popular with tourists. The market is neatly divided into sections like jewellery, beachwear, and sports gear, so finding your way around is easy. Plus, there are loads of stalls where you can pick up DVDs and clothes at a fraction of the price you'd find in the shopping centres. You might need a few days to fully explore the vast shopping options along this six-kilometre stretch.

The Central Festival Samui

Situated on the island’s east coast, Central Festival Samui is a massive shopping haven spread over three floors on a whopping 90,000 square metres of land. It's hands down the largest and most comprehensive shopping centre in Koh Samui.

The mall is split into several sections. Each section showcases a mix of both global and local brands covering food, fashion, and entertainment. Some of the recognisable names include Wine Connection, Starbucks Coffee, and MK Restaurant.

Hungry shoppers can head over to the spacious food court offering tasty meals at great prices. For groceries, there's a supermarket stocked with everything from fresh fruit to imported goods.

Central Festival Samui welcomes shoppers daily. So, if you're at a Koh Samui holiday hotel nearby, this place is well worth a visit!

The Wharf Samui

The Wharf Samui is a relatively new kid on the block, having opened just a year ago. Nestled in the Bophut area, visitors can get a double treat – not only can they explore the mall, but they can also take a stroll on the Fisherman Walking Street every Friday, given it's right next to The Wharf.

What sets The Wharf apart is its idyllic beachside setting, complemented by a plethora of dining choices – cosy cafés brewing rich coffee, fresh bakeries, beachfront hotels, and even chic boutique fashion spots.

Being an open-air mall, it boasts a variety of restaurants, trendy fashion outlets, and a food court. There's seldom a dull moment here, with regular events like concerts and competitions to keep visitors entertained. You can pop by The Wharf every day from 11 AM to 11 PM.

Lamai Walking Street

Every Sunday, Lamai Beach Road transforms into the Lamai Walking Street. This weekly event takes place between the fresh market and the bridge in the town's northeastern part. The usual vehicular traffic gives way to bustling stalls offering clothes, handicrafts, and tantalising street food.

This isn’t exactly a place for luxury shopping, but you’ll find a wide array of things on offer here. The prices at Lamai Walking Street won't break the bank, making it an ideal spot to snag souvenirs and gifts for loved ones back home. But the true star of this southern Thai street fest is the food. Your taste buds are in for a treat!

Lamai Night Plaza

Lamai Night Plaza in Samui is a lively shopping spot. You'll find the usual souvenirs – think T-shirts, carved trinkets, and budget-friendly jewellery. Keep an eye out for the so-called branded items; their authenticity might be a tad dubious, so it's probably best to steer clear.

Centrally located, just a stone's throw from McDonald's and leading to a square framed by beer bars, this night market reminds many of Bangkok's famed Patpong – albeit on a more modest scale. If you're in the mood for a bustling evening filled with shopping and perhaps a pint, this is the place to be!
