New Zealand's Auckland is a great place to visit. This city is highly popular among tourists because of its many cultural and historical institutions, phenomenal natural sceneries, and family-friendly activities. Here's a rundown of all the greatest tourist attractions and activities in the city! Make sure you don't miss out on it!

Rangitoto Island

The Rangitoto Island is a volcanic island noted for its fantastic hiking routes offering stunning panoramic views. There are indeed a variety of trails to choose from depending on your fitness level. The Top Track, which weaves its way past lava fields and then through the world's largest pohutukawa forest to take you to the summit, is by far the most popular one among tourists and the locals.

Cornwall Park

Cornwall Park is recognised across the world for its magnificent lush green scenery, which is precisely what you will find there. The beautiful park, which stands atop a volcanic cone, provides an unforgettable experience as well as a vista of rich flora and old ruins. The One Tree Hill viewing point is not to be missed! This park is also conveniently placed near Auckland harbour hotels such as the Auckland Harbour Suites, which is only 9 minutes away!

One Tree Hill

The volcanic pinnacle of One Tree Hill (also known as Maungakiekie) is the city's emblem for many Aucklanders. The 182-metre-high hill is located in Cornwall Park, which features a variety of flower gardens and native trees as well as walking pathways. One Tree Hill is located in Cornwall park's southwest quadrant, and the slopes here contain vestiges of a Maori Pa, a walled town that was here prior to the arrival of Europeans.

Mount Eden

Mt Eden is without a question among Auckland's most popular tourist attractions. This is, in fact, a dormant volcanic peak that has been blanketed in lush grass and provides excellent views of Auckland's downtown area. The vistas are simply beautiful and perfect. The avid photographers are going to have an absolute blast.

Auckland War Memorial Museum

As previously said, Auckland is rich in cultural and historical monuments that must be seen. The War Memorial Museum in this town chronicles the region's history. There are several exhibits of relics and artefacts from various tribes and towns in the area. The museum does an excellent job of displaying New Zealand's history.

Devonport

Devonport is famed for its stunning vistas, so don't forget to bring your camera. In addition, there is a naval facility here that you may visit. Devonport is a must-see destination because of its old colonial structures and sublime architecture, as well as its immaculate beaches.

Sky Tower

A gigantic skyscraper known as the Sky Tower dominates Auckland's skyline. Visitors may buy a ticket to its observation deck and get a 360-degree aerial perspective of the city here. There are two restaurants as well as a café where you may have a meal while taking in the stunning views of the city. One of the restaurants does rotate!

Tiritiri Matangi Open Sanctuary

If you have an affinity for animals and birds, apart from being a natural outdoor aficionado, this is the spot for you! The wildlife sanctuary is among New Zealand's most successful conservation initiatives. There are kiwis, tuataras, South Island takahes, tuis, and so much more to see!

The Auckland Art Gallery

The Auckland Art Gallery is the most outstanding cultural venue in the city. The gallery, which is housed in an outstanding French Renaissance-style edifice erected in 1887, has New Zealand's largest art collection, with over 15,000 items on exhibit. The dedicated galleries include a diverse collection of artworks, notably a 14th-century European painting and a sculpture.
