Divine food to indulge in

Colombo is a multicultural city which is one of the main facts that make this city so attractive. If you take a tour from Colombo 1 through 15 you will see a range of Buddhist Temples, Tamil Kovil, Christian Chirches, and Muslim Mosques standing tall and proud bringing people from different backgrounds, ethnicities, and walks of life together into the city of Colombo. Another matter all this contributes to is the food you will come across in Colombo. If all else fails you can always enjoy a warm filling meal in Colombo that is bound to make all your worries go away. Ranging from rice and curry to coconut roti, to milk rice, hoppers, string hoppers, idly, paratha, murukku, and a range of dishes there is always something that fits your mood when it comes to food in the Capital city of Colombo. Street food in Sri Lanka is a must-try as you would not have made the best of your vacation in Colombo if you fail to try egg roti, kottu, and parippu vadai while walking the streets of Colombo.

City transport like you never experienced

When exploring the city of Colombo the best way to do so is to hop inside a tuk-tuk and ask him to take you around. While tuk-tuks can be rather expensive to be going around in they are still cheaper than cabs and cars that can be hired. Even if you prefer to travel in a car or you feel the tuk-tuk is off your budget you should definitely make it a point to at least enjoy one tuk-tuk ride in Sri Lanka especially on the road that goes parallel to the shore which is known as the Marine Drive. Feel the wind in your hair, enjoy the view of the horizon on one side with the Colombo skyline on the other.
