Kamaraj Biography:

Did he drop out of school to study world studies? Kamaraj studied only sixth standard. He took office as the first minister with no knowledge of English and only 6 years of education and gave the best leadership to Tamil Nadu for 9 years. Although Kamaraj was not a graduate, there were always educated geniuses around him.

After becoming the first minister, his first interest was in the education of the people of the country. He introduced free meals in schools so that the education of students would not be spoiled due to lack of food. "Let the next generation get the education we failed to get and grow and live. Charity is not new to us. We have given it to those who have come home so far.

Now, we are going to look for a school building. If you do that, both the gift of saving life and the gift of education will be added... In my mind, there is no more important work for this person than to open the eyes of education for everyone. I consider this the most important of all. So I am willing to leave other jobs aside and come from town to town and beg for the mid-day meal scheme," Perundalaivar said.

He introduced free compulsory education up to class 11 to overcome illiteracy. He provided free uniform to all school children. He included those who opposed him in politics. When he became the Chief Minister, he made those who contested against him for the same post as Ministers. He did not give special privileges to his poor mother when he was the first minister. It was during his period that Tamil Nadu became the best administered state in India.

Kamaraj, Indragandhi

Senior leaders should not hold positions in politics, they should step down and work for the party's benefit and he himself stepped down as an example.

He was the kingmaker who made Lal Bahadur Shastri and Indira Gandhi Prime Minister despite having the opportunity to become Prime Minister twice. Cinema is a passion for Kamaraj. He lived as a real hero unlike the heroes we see in cinema.

When he died, he was left with ten Khadar vests, shirts and less than a hundred rupees in cash. He was a good man who proved in his lifetime that he was always a poor man.

Birth:

Kamarasar was born on 15th July 1903 in Virudhunagar. His parents were Kumaraswamy Nadar and Sivagami Ammal. He belongs to Nadar community. He was first named after the clan deity Kamakshi. Only mother Sivagami Ammal called him "Rasa". Eventually the name Kamatshi changed to 'Kamarasu'.

He started his schooling at Satriya Vidya Sala School. He showed great patience and giving mind while studying. Sivagami Ammal has two brothers. One would like to have a uterus. He owned a clothes shop. Another was Kasinarayana Nadar. He ran a wood shop in Thiruvananthapuram.

Jail Life and Study :-

When he was unable to continue his schooling, Kamarasar took a job in his uncle's cloth shop. While there Fascinated by the speeches of national leaders like Varadarasulu Naidu, he became interested in politics and freedom struggles. He became a member of Congress at the age of 16.

He participated in the salt satyagraha in Vedaranyam in March 1930 under the leadership of Rasasi. For that, Kamarasar was arrested and sent to Alipore Jail, Calcutta. He was released the following year under the terms of the Gandhi-Irvine Pact. Arrested in Virudhunagar bomb case, Salem Dr. Varadarasulu Naidu was acquitted as the charge was not established due to his prowess.

He was arrested again in 1940 and imprisoned in Vellore Jail. While there, he was elected as the Municipal Chairman of Virudhunagar. After nine months of release, he went straight and resigned from his post. His policy was that it was wrong to cling to a position when one could not honestly commit to it fully. Kamarajar, Jawaharlal Nehru

Political Guru :-

Kamarasar took Sathyamurthy, a great orator and parliamentarian, as his political guru. In 1936, when Sathyamurthy became the president of the Pradesh Congress, he made Kamarasar his secretary. With the efforts of both, the Congress party saw good growth and won the elections. Hearing the news of India's independence, Kamarasar first went to Sathyamurthy's house and hoisted the national flag there.

He who took with him those who opposed him:-

"When politicians fight each other, it's as entertaining as watching a chicken fight for people. Therefore, politicians should avoid futile fights and controversies," said Kamaraj. But which politicians accept it? He was the one who took his opponents with him in politics.

In 1953-54, when he was going to be elected as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, C. Subramaniam also contested for the post of Chief Minister. Bhaktavatchalam himself proposed Subramaniam's name for the post of Chief Minister. Kamaraj won the election. Subramaniam and Bhaktavatsala were stunned by this.

Bhaktavatsalam expressed regret to Kamaraja for his action. In this position, he included Subramaniam, who contested against him, and Bhaktavatsalam, who supported him, in the council of ministers. When some people asked Kamarajar about this, he said, "Let those who opposed me be on one side. He replied, "Shouldn't their service be useful to the country, who have already held positions as ministers?"

It is their fault for not doing so :-

In the school where Kamaraj studied, the annual Ganesh Chaturthi festival is celebrated and prasad is given. When the prasad is distributed, the students thump and take handfuls of the prasad twice at a time. Kamaraj did not like that kind of thumping for prasadam. So he stood aside in a corner.

He bought the last remaining offering and went home. People in the house asked, "When everyone bought a lot of prasad, why did you buy less?" "I don't want to compete with other students and buy prasadam.

Those who collected five cents from all the students in the school should have offered the same offering. It is their fault for not doing so,” said Kamaraj. Kamaraj has the ability to easily deal with all complex issues except politics.

"There is no school in our village. How can I go to school?

If there is a school in your town, would you study?” Kamaraj asked him.

"If I go to the school hall, who will give me rice?" asked the boy.

"Oh...that's right.. Well, if I give you rice, will you study?" asked Kamaraj.

"Yes," said the boy, "Ask my father."

As soon as Kamaraj came to Chennai, the then director of school education, N.T., believed that if he provided food and provided school facilities, the education level in the villages would rise. Call Sundara Vadivelu and implement the “midday meal plan” immediately.

No matter how much it costs. Poor children must study in school. as ordered. As a result of this, in 1956, poor students were given free mid-day meals through the mid-day meal scheme. From 1960 onwards, free education was introduced from the first grade to the final grade.

It was during Kamaraj's regime that a serious scheme of providing uniforms to school students was implemented. About 30 thousand primary schools were opened.

However, due to the great growth of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Kamarasar shortened his political journey to the level of Tamil Nadu. He used to point out the mistakes of the rulers of Tamil Nadu.

Kamarasar had hoped that they would be released on the birthday of the two Gandhis in October. But on hearing the news that Acharya Kripalani was also arrested that day, he gave up his life.

Gandhi passed away on the second Monday of October 1975 (Gandhi's birthday) after taking a nap. When he died, he had no bank account, no home, no other assets, except for a small amount of money in his pocket. He lived in a rented house till the end of his life.
