By the time we reach adulthood, most of us have given up on our dreams of living an adventurous life free of worry and responsibility. We go to college, get desk jobs, pay our rent, and put what we can into savings accounts for once a year excursions that eventually turn into college funds for the next generation. However, more and more people are breaking out of the traditional mold and dropping houses and jobs to work and live full time on the road. Below are a few fan favorites who've made it work for them in the brave new world of modern nomadism.

They update their Youtube channel three times a week and even have a cool vegan cookbook for those trying to adopt a more eco-friendly, sustainable lifestyle.

A former TV news reporter, Wild by the Mile AKA Liz Bryant—the second solo female traveller on our list—has a background in creating content that has served her well in capturing and maintaining her audience. Her videos tend to focus on how-tos and basic van life tutorials with an objectivity that makes it fun and easy for anyone to follow along. She has a regular update schedule, but in the downtime between episodes, you can catch her over on her super aesthetically pleasing Instagram.

Couple Jordan and Kaylee got their start in modern nomadism after Jordan was laid off. Losing their main line of income, they decided to go cold turkey on their former life, buy and convert a van and travel the Americas. Their story is one that shows that even when life doesn't go according to plan, great things can still come from it. They're currently creating a documentary about van life which you can support here.
