The most eastern province in Canada, have you heard of it?

Newfoundland, Canada has really outstanding sceneries, from the overview of the city on top of Signal Hill to the hike up Gros Morne national park. Today I will just give you my top five things to do in Newfoundland if you ever decide to visit.

1. Signal Hill

While most days it's hard to see the view from this lookout, on days where the sun is shining you can overlook the whole city of St.John's and even look out to the ocean and see Cape Spear, where if you go you can go to the most easterly point of North America.

Also, Signal Hill has many trails if you are into hiking. You can start at the bottom of the hill and work your way up to the top or start that the top and work your way down all the way to Water Street. Each trail has a view of something no matter what, so you'll have great sceneries on your hike.

If you wanted to go higher to get that perfect photo shot of the view, you can always go inside the building and go up the stairs to the roof and enjoy the view and wind.

2. George Street

One of the oldest streets and smallest in North America, but youngest at heart.

If you want to have a good night on the town you should hit up George Street.

The street is packed with bars and with people constantly, and if you have kids, come during the day and walk the street to just look around.

It's like the street that never sleeps.

If you're not from Newfoundland, there is a bar that gets you screeched in. (Don't know what that means?) Means you got to kiss a cod, and drink a shot of screech.

George Street also has a festival every year with big performances and big crowds. Come along in July for some fun with the crowd.

3. The Town of Trinity

Trinity is a tiny town in Trinity Bay on your way to Bonavista.

When going to Trinity, you have to try Aunt Sarah's Chocolates they are the best.

You also should park your car and just walk the town as it isn't very big and you will enjoy it much more when walking.

Trinity has this look and feel to it that reminds you of the old days (even if you weren't born yet). The houses are older and brighter, it's a town where you would think everyone knows each other.

While in Trinity, stop by the Random Passage Theatre and watch a play if they have one that day.

Even visit the abandoned amusement park of trinity loop just up the road from this town. There you will see what is left of once an amazing amusement park. You will see the train track, the ferris wheel, mini golf course and the pool of the bumper boats. People using go here to take pictures in the train right out in front; that train is known for being a popular picture place.

Trinity is an old town but it is worth the visit.

4. East Coast Trail

Not really a place, but if you are into hiking I would tell you to take the East Coast Trail, as it is 540km, which you don't have to do it all, you can start anywhere and see different places with beautiful sceneries.

In 2012 it was actually named the best adventure destination by the National Geographic.

This trail takes you through small communities on the coast of Newfoundland and you have a view your whole hike.

This trail is an amazing one, and if you decide this hike is for you take your camera.

5. Fogo Island.

While I have never been here personally, I have heard many great stories of Fogo Island. (most of them from my friends).

But Fogo Island is a small island off the northeast coast of Newfoundland, and having to take the ferry from Port Albert to get to it.

Fogo Island also has different styled buildings and the temperatures are slightly colder then on the main island.

Fogo also has a festival in the summer time called The Folk Festival, I heard it is a great time.

Gwyneth Paltrow has also been to Fogo Island and has called it heaven.

Worth the trip for you and myself.

And there you have five things to do in Newfoundland in the summer.

There are way more things to do here but the list would go on and I would bore you after so many.

Take the time to come here and explore our beautiful province where with every road you travel on is a new adventure waiting to be taken.

If you have come here in the past, what was your favourite thing about Newfoundland? And was any of this helpful for you?

I hope you learned about my province if you didn't know about it before.
