Time Square in The Evening Taken By Kyle Smith

With so many different things going on simultaneously in the big Apple, one who isn‘t from the Big city will often be left confused and overwhelmed by the thousands of options available. I run a travel agency and frequent this metropolis on most weekends to escape the routine life of Pittsburgh, always searching for the hippest things to do during the weekend so I have racked up the top 4 things you could do on a weekend (Friday, Saturnday, and Sunday) in the city for tourist ready to take on the big city.

Weekends have a different sort of vibe to the big Apple than other days of the week. Although there’s always something surprising happening in the boroughs of New York, it’s an understatement not to explore some of the quintessential places to go in a New York Minute.

Go To Blue Bottle Coffee and chill outside of NY Stock Exchange

The Stock Exchange Taken By Kyle Smith

Go down to lower Mannathan near Fulton and go see the famous New York Stock Exchange while sipping on a latte At locally own Blue Bottle Coffee(CDC vaccine card and face mask required). Sit around outside as to you see the locals and tourist alike marvel at the marble attraction.

The Edge (Hudson Yard)

View Of Lower Mannathan At Night On Top Of The Hudson Yard’s Edge Roof Top Taken By Kyle Smith

This is top down one of my favorite places to go and for good reasons as you will find out once you take a trip to the west side of upper Mannathan. The Edge is at The Hudson Yard and is the highest rooftop to see New York Skyline in The Western hemisphere .This 101 story side roof displays a 360 angle of upper, lower Mannathan as well as the Bronx and New Jersey. I’m not going to lie to you, but you will need to wait in a line on the fourth floor of the Hudson Yard Edge. Once you‘re present, you will need to show proof of vaccination in order to enter the roof top. Admission is only 41$ for adult and 59$ for Admission and a glass of Champagne“(There’s a rooftop bar athe the Edge with other selections of mix drinks and more)

Book your tickets here. Eventhough the line Can be comparable to the ones at theme park rides, you’re invited to stay on top of the roof as long as you wish(I usually stay up there for 1-2 hours then leave) and there’s also souvenir shops inside from the rooftop that has magnets, T-Shirts,even books. Also restroom and a family bathroom available.

The Edge is the perfect place to take pictures of the city with friends and family. If you’re brave enough, there’s a steel glass surface that over looks the buildings near Hudson yard that yo can stand on. I stood on it and only the brave might handle the heights. In fact, some folks were kinda scared to go stand on the glass surface over the general fear of it breaking. But it’s strong enough for anyone so It won’t be a problem.

World Trade Center Oculus( Lower Manhattan)

World Trade Center Oculus and Mall taken by Kyle Smith

If you’re the type who loves to shop, then The World Trade Center Oculus will be your favorite place to visit in lower Mannathan. Four stories filled with America’s favorite shopping malls and The World Trade Center Station is easily accessable if you needed to catch the subway uptown or in Brooklyn. Nested between the Freedom Tower and The 911 Memorial Muesuem, you can explore this marvel from inside and see everyone from all around the world.
I say on the weekends, several people are outside near the memorial standing near the headstones of the names of victims who’d died on that tragic of days. Please don’t lean on the headstone as a security officier will issue a warning.

From the outside near the Wold Trade Center Oculus is a viberant modern moral of an Alternative girl playing with what appears to be Japanese ultra men action figures. It’s regardless a beautiful addition to The Oculus building and truly screams inviting to a younger demographic. Street trucks arer near for dining conviences and you can’t go wrong with an old fashion lamb gyro on your way to the 9/11 muesuem. On top of that, if you wanted to, you’re approximately close enough to The Charging Bull, Statue of Library view near the Ferry and The New York Stock Exchange (also Trump Tower) for anyone who actually cares. Picture worthy attractions awaits you at the World Trade Center.

Inside The World Trade Center taken by Kyle Smith

As I walked inside of the building, I noticed how massive it looked from the inside and how many stores they were able to fit in that store too. It’s definitely picture worthy because of the building‘s unique artsy design. On the weekends it’s a bit packed but worth the visit and if you need help, the NYPD will be there to assist you with anything you might be having trouble finding.

Nintendo Of New York

Once inside what was formally known as Nintendo World, you’ll be able to witness the glass museum display of all Nintendo’s hit video game consoles as well as the newest products and games on the second floor. There’s also a working elevator that could take you upstairs too.

The second and first floor has plushy toys of Super MArio, Link, Pokémon and several other Nintendo IP’s stashed on the circlar shelves. T-shirts as well as other merch can be purchase and of course, their latest video game consoles and games are found there too. If you’re a gaming buff and need something Super Mario Related to do on a weekend, definitely check out Nintendo New York.
