Destination: Wedding! Celebrating parts of Tuscany
See The Room's Destination Wedding series- A profile on Pieve Aldina in Tuscany, Italy- by See The Room

Tuscany
Located in central Italy, Tuscany is the region in which you can find the historic cities of Florence, Pisa and Siena. 16 UNESCO World Heritage sites exist in the region, creating a special opportunity for history . Yet, it can feel like a tale of (more than) two cities with the beautiful contrast between the art and architectural wonders of Florence and the endless vineyards and olive groves of Montepulciano. From North American airports, you would take a flight with one stop in a major European city (Rome, Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, Amsterdam, etc) before your arrival in Florence. The stunning countryside views from memorable films such as 'Much Ado About Nothing', 'Under the Tuscan Sun', and 'Gladiator' are accessible by car or via numerous day tours on Viator. Local trains are very popular during high season on TrenItalia and TrenNatura (the Nature Train) to capture unique scenic views.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Visions to capture: Everyone envisions the rolling hills of Tuscany, with endless grape vines and olive groves. Entrances perfectly lined with cypress trees welcome you and your guests to your magical event. Remember that your wedding story can contain a pre or post visit to one of the treasured cities of the region. The Florence Duomo is a beautiful backdrop for wedding and group celebration photos.

Curated wedding experiences are handled by the amazing team in house at Pieve Aldina
We had a wonderful conversation with Aurora Gori, a member of the sales team within the property, who shared a number of details to help plan a memorable stay for the entire wedding party. "The property is five minutes from the city, but we are surrounded by nature. There are 40 acres of olive groves and 300 nearby wineries."

"Transfer services are available 24 hours per day and the property is open from late March to early November each year. September is the best time to visit because of the weather." "We can create a whole wedding experience, including the food and beverage. Vegan and vegetarian options are available, but we try to focus on seasonal ingredients." "Many couples arrive already married and have a smaller ceremony or blessing before their celebration with guests. The property is available for buy-outs and we have an on-site gardener who can create flower arrangements."

Aurora shared a wonderful sentiment about their overall approach: "The property is very transparent so that you are having the best experience during your wedding. There is a very transparent relationship between us and the clients, because this is a very special day of their lives."
