Ride to the Grand Canyon, a perfect day

Heat radiates from the ground as the landscape stretches for miles. The sun beats down like a beast on all its inhabitants. Yet when the rain falls, the landscape blooms in color and offers a needed break from the sun. The beauty of that place would remain if I had my perfect day. The perfect day would be to visit the Grand Canyon. Exploring the area was enjoyable until the last accident. The day was almost 2021, but it was cut short by a car accident, and in the longer story, my story, It Was The Perfect Day. The desert is a beautiful place with abundant life, but it can also be quite dangerous. The perfect day would start by catching a train that goes by the Grand Canyon. The scenic ride would be like that of old, when the cowboys and Indians once roamed. The desolate landscape would be a different world from my trees and springs. The sight of so much life surviving with the least amount of water. As the train ride would chug on at the perfect speed, the time for pictures would come, with the plateaus and cactus as the focus. As the canyon comes into view, it would be breathtaking and well worth the early morning. The colors would reflect the giant hole in which the Colorado River flows. The place is huge.

Each passing moment would become a memory and a picture of the reminders. The train only lasts so long, and then I would get off and look around. After arriving, I would feel the dry air and find the sun at its hottest. Then I would have a short time to see the village, followed by the vastness of the hole in the ground. The gift shops would be nice for souvenirs: a deck of cards and a coin for the national parks. After that, there would be time for a short trail to look deeper into the canyon. It would be hot, but the view would be incredible, and this spot is incredible, with so many coming to see it.

After the short trail, we would need to reboard the train with much regret. The sunset would be coming, over the desert, lighting up the night. As the train pulls out, the canyon becomes much smaller; the trip back was worth it, as I start to doze off, trying to stay awake for the sunset as it reflects off the rocks. It signals the end of the day, so I head to the food car for a small sandwich. The sun finally set, and my camera captured many great pictures as darkness fell over the plateaus, still outlined; the train arrived, and we headed back to the hotel. It was a hot day, but it was worth seeing all the greatness of the Grand Canyon and taking a train ride like in the old times. I also had a little dessert as we stopped for ice cream to end the perfect day.

The perfect day might not be everyone's choice, but it would be what was planned for so long after all the waiting to go back.

A day that would bring relaxation to everything in life. The train ride would give some time to think and enjoy the view while seeing one of the most beautiful parts of the United States. It would be wonderful to see the desert, and then the sunset would leave the perfect ending to the day. In the end, the desert and mountains call to me as I think in my mind and relax, even wishing just to be there.
