Colorado was the gateway, and the West began to expand at the same time as the Railroad became the driving force of American Industry.

TESTIMONIAL:

"The Colorado Railroad Museum looks like a great place for the entire family! Especially those with kids like my son Logan, who happens to be going through a serious "train" phase right now. I'm sure he will not be as interested in the railroad history as my husband and I will be, but the caboose, tracks, and train cars are sure to keep him entertained for hours."

For the Young Ones, and the young at heart, you can take a ride around the premises on the "Galloping Goose", a converted special train car to carry miners and their mail to mountain destinations quickly. A variety of miniature scale models are elaborate and large. The outdoor miniature details what the times were like and through the camera lens, hard to tell it was a model. Inside, an elaborate HO scale train panorama showed creative details of scenes from Americana history.
