I was impressed by the British fondness for hats.

Arriving at London's Heathrow Airport from Shanghai, I saw a huge poster saying "Welcome". It showed a British gentleman in a black bowler hat with his arms outstretched. Just as there is shengxifu hat Shop in Beijing's Wangfujing district, there is James Locke hat shop in London's St James's Street, which is more than 200 years old. Their elaborately crafted black bowler hats are a British brand, costing hundreds or even thousands of pounds each, yet they are worn by the British rich and powerful with pride.

Black bowler hats are worn on formal occasions. I noticed that British men also like to wear hats on weekdays. All kinds of men's caps, eaves, eaves, half-tongue cap, cap, and so on. Police around the world usually wear large caps, while British police wear black hats with narrow brims, which make them light and agile.

Compared with conservative men's hats, British hats are as colorful as flowers in spring. When I watched Britain's Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding ceremony on TV, it seemed to me that it was an unprecedented "hat show"! As British men do not wear hats indoors, hats of all stripes stole the show that day.

In Britain, Queen Elizabeth II wears different hats for different occasions. Queen Elizabeth II's hats are dignified, usually with wide brims so as not to hide her face, and sometimes in bright colours such as bright yellow, pink and sky blue. The late Princess Diana's hat often led to a new trend in British millinery. Their hats are often designed by special hat designers. When designing, the color and style of the bonnet should be considered to match with the dress, forming the overall beauty.

Why are British men and women so fond of hats? According to my British friends, this is caused by the special climate in Britain. Britain is an island country, and the air is full of water vapor. It rains as often as possible, but it is often drizzle and the clouds break up in a twinkling. Always carrying a black umbrella with a long handle, as the English gentleman does, is certainly a protection against rain, but a black umbrella with a long handle is, after all, a nuisance. The easiest way, of course, is to wear a hat. Besides, once the sun shines in Britain, the uv rays are quite strong, so wearing a hat with a wide brimstone can protect you from the sun. What's more, wearing a hat is one of the measures to keep warm in Britain's cold winter. As for the hat to wear on the head, occupy the "commanding" prominent position, can beautify the face image, of course, everyone likes. So the four major functions of the hat, in the United Kingdom each of the use of natural British people since ancient times to develop a love of the hat fetish. With the progress of The Times, especially every family has a car, the first three functions of the hat weakened, and the fourth function, namely "decoration" has been strengthened. In particular, The British bonnet has become an indispensable decoration for women who love beauty, so women still wear beautiful hats when they enter the room without rain, sunshine and heating.

Hats are surprisingly controversial in Britain. I was watching the changing of the Guard in front of Buckingham Palace, the royal palace in London, and my eyes were caught by the tall, hairy black hats on the heads of the Royal Guards. At issue is the British army's iconic black top hat. The hat, which stands 18 inches tall and weighs 1lb 8oz, is made from the skin of a Canadian black bear. Environmental groups have protested that the ROYAL Guard's black top hat is a "symbol" of wildlife cruelty. At one time, the Royal Guards tried to make black hats by using artificial fur, but the guards said that it was not beautiful to wear black hats with artificial fur on the head and stick together when it rained. How to solve this problem, it seems, needs to develop a better substitute. Fortunately, the Canadian black bearskin black hat is durable enough for the Royal Guards to wear for another decade or eight years. 'Hats are one of the most attractive accessories,' says Royal hatter Sir Tracy. 'They are associated with elegance and beauty.' This sentence captures the true meaning of the British love of hats.
