Knoxville is a historic town that is known for hosting amazing conventions and fairs. Dating all the way back to the 1982 World's Fair that helped revitalize the city. They now host events like trade shows, comic book conventions, music festivals, and most recently the Oddities and Curiosities Expo.

The expo featured artists, taxidermists, shamans, and all around lovers of the occult. There was a wonderful mix of people who attended the event on Saturday. There was so much to see with the exhibit hall having three rows with booths on either side.

There was a gorgeous mixture of décor for the home, jewelry, vintage items (maybe even haunted), eclectic gifts, and clothes and accessories. No two booths were alike, each as unique as a snowflake. For those who love hunting and fishing, they had bones and skeletons of all kinds.

The energy on the hall floor was both peaceful and buzzing. There was a general air of appreciation for the wonderful vendors. They had the most unique blend of music playing that set the mood for those who were buying wares as well as those just there to see two-headed taxidermized animals.

There were some obvious favorites that I had. I could have spent my entire savings on all sorts of items. The variety was the most unique blend. These were definitely items that you could not buy at any department store. Each booth had it's own target audience.

Those that were just going to the expo for the animals had a huge selection of deer, elk, and traditional mounted bones. There were booths dedicated to pagan supplies including crystals, scrying equipment, runes, and sage.

There were many booths just dedicated to bringing the strange and unusual to decorate your home. There were so many vendors just there to help you bring your personality, no matter what that was, to life in your home.

It was especially interesting seeing some vintage or once living objects turn into modern décor, interesting supplies, and even jewelry. There was no age restrictions either. They had something for every member of the family.

The images provided in this experience was just the tip of the iceberg. If you want to check out an event possibly near you, check out their website. I would also check out their Facebook to see some of their featured artists. Special shoutout to my favorite collage making web application - PicMonkey.
