There are so many exciting adventures here in Costa Rica. Take a moment to think about all of the happiness that many people have experienced either on vacation or when living here full time. Costa Rica is a magical place. . one of the happiest countries on the planet. And our task is a very important one. . to SHARE with you the hundreds of stories that we gather from friends, neighbors, family members, clients and even strangers! We hope that you connect with one of these events. . that it may be the catalyst for you to visit or even to move here. The PURA VIDA LIFESTYLE is special and once you understand it. . once you experience it, even for a week or so, THERE'S NO TURNING BACK. It pulls you in. .

Cerro Chirripó. . the highest point in Costa Rica. . the second highest in Central America. It's cold up there! At 12,532 feet above sea level, you will certainly get a different perspective on life, your position here and why nothing really matters! And I say, "nothing really matters" in a positive way. What I'm trying to get across to you is that those little problems that grow beyond belief each and every day. . your computer is running slow. . your car needs waxed. . your clothes are out of style. . that crap doesn't matter anymore. You'll realize what is important and that will change you. .

Because up there, you get the real picture. The world takes over. Mother Nature demands emphatically that you realize that SHE is in charge now. What she says, GOES! And she is telling all of us that what you see when you're at the top of this majestic point on earth. . she is yelling in your ear that life has a new meaning for you. Life changes at that moment in time. And that you are a better person for it. She praises you with all her glory. , and you better listen. .

It all goes back to that popular and meaninful saying that was thought up in 1997 by Richard Carlson, "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff. . and It's All Small Stuff". By the way, if you haven't read his book, you need to. IN FACT, bring a copy of the book and when you get to the summit of Cerro Chirripo, READ IT! That'll make your head explode. Seeing the world and all of its glory from this perspective shows us the absurdity of life in general. Up there, there is no jealousy. . there's no grief. . no spitefullness. . not even a pinch of sarcasm. No greed, no dishonesty or pessimism. . no one is narcissistic way up there. Only a feeling of awe and wonder. . Being over 12,000 feet high and away from our daily life shows us all that Costa Rica is indeed necessary for our wellness, delight & well-being. . for our happiness. Take the hint given here & we'll see you at the top!
