Beautiful Anaheim

A city in Southern California that is home to Disneyland Resort

Anaheim is a city in Orange County, Southern California. It is home to Disneyland Resort which includes both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

Both adults and children enjoy the themed lands within the ape including Tomorrowland with Space Mountain and Fantasyland among others.

At Disneyland enjoy Main Street USA and have a photo taken with the “Mickey Floral” parterre. The park excites young and old with iconic characters strolling about.

Central City or CtrCity is the historic downtown of Anaheim. There are many boutique shops, local eateries, and luxurious lofts along the Center Street Promenade. Lovely palm trees line the way.

The Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center makes its home in the historic Carnegie Library. The museum shares the history of the region with different displays and rotating exhibitions. The Carnegie Gallery features a walk-through history of Anaheim. For teenagers, there are special classroom programs and the entire space is available for rent for private events.

The Anaheim Packing District a few blocks south of CtrCity offers a cultural experience with historic architecture. The district has three national historic landmarks among them a former Packard car dealership and marmalade factory. The spaces offer culinary creations and open spaces for people to enjoy. The highlight of the packing district is the restored Anaheim Packing Food Hall which is one of the most modern food halls in the nation. There are many food stalls in the Packing House Food Hall. You can find restaurants with limited seating but lots of open space and public tables to sit at and enjoy delicious food.

Farmers Park in the packing district is a lovely landscaped green space and garden with a scenic boardwalk. It is a fantastic place to enjoy a meal in the great outdoors.

The Anaheim Garden Walk is a pedestrian-friendly entertainment district close to the gates of Disneyland Resort. There are many shopping and dining places lining the outdoor plaza.

The highlight of the garden walk is The House of Blues featuring its own restaurant and a rotating lineup of nationally touring live music acts. You can also enjoy bowling lanes, virtual reality arcades, and Latin music nightclubs.

Along the entire garden walk you'll find “Art on the Walk” a program featuring a variety of colorful murals on the walls.

Angel Stadium is home to the Los Angeles Angels of the American League West. The baseball season runs from April to October. You can get public tours of the stadium and grounds between March and September.

The Honda Center is a huge indoor arena and home to the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League. The center features other sporting events as well like professional wrestling and basketball. Throughout the year you can catch concerts, comedy shows, festival events, and kid-friendly shows.

Yorba Regional Park is a mile-long linear park in eastern Anaheim. There are winding bike paths that loop around four lakes enjoyed by ducks and other wildlife. The park has volleyball nets, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, and more than 400 picnic tables. Both joggers and walkers enjoy the scenic trails around the park.

Knott's Berry Farm is a fun place for the whole family with roller coasters and water slides. There are thrill rides like Montezuma's Revenge and La Revolucion and the first and only dive coaster in California HangTime with a 96-degree drop. There are family rides like Calico Mine Ride and Surfside Gliders. Musical shows, ghost towns, and unique dining experiences can be found here as well as Knott's Summer Night celebrations with live music and food trucks.

Knott's Soak City Water Park is a great place to cool off between May and September and is Orange County's largest water park. There are more than twenty different waterslides, a giant wave pool, a lazy river, and an interactive kids' area. You can rent a private cabana.

Pearson Park is a beautiful city park with a historic nineteen acres originally founded in 1927 as “City Park,” In 1960 it was renamed in honor of former Mayor Charles A. Pearson.

The Pearson Park Amphitheater is a Spanish-style outdoor venue that hosts concerts and the lawn space in front of it has room for more than 2,000 guests. The park also has a playground, swimming pool, and many picnic benches and shelters. For sports fans, there is a football/soccer facility and a softball diamond.

City National Grove is an event center and performance space near Angel Stadium and the Santa Ana River. The venue has provided space for some of the biggest names in entertainment like Prince, Ray Charles, and Stevie Nicks. It hosts more than 250 concerts each year, including Broadway performances.

The Oak Canyon Nature Center connects visitors to the natural habitat of Southern California. The center has 58 acres of natural parkland and offers interpretive information lining four miles of trails. There is a stream that offers a popular shaded hiking route and the elevated Roadrunner Ridge Trail lets you see the beauty of nature all around.

Ralph B. Clark Regional Park is located less than nine miles northwest of downtown Anaheim. It is a lovely park next to the Coyote Hills offering open grassland shaded by large trees. There are both paved and dirt trails and a stocked fishing lake at the very center. There are benches to relax upon and you can enjoy eating outdoors at the picnic facilities along the way, There is also an amphitheater, basketball and tennis courts, volleyball nets, and ball fields. The park is home to waterfowl like ducks and geese.

Medieval Times is fun for the whole family. It features a full night of jousting, horseback riding, and falconry. This place offers dinner shows and is in Buena Park just outside of Anaheim. Dinner is a traditional dish of roast chicken and multiple sides.
