Disused rail lines were converted into 33 miles of walking and bicycling trails in Atlanta for Ryan Gravel's master's thesis in 1999. The Atlanta BeltLine, an ongoing project including streetcars and associated parks, is expected to be finished in 2030. Due to the BeltLine's success, urban regeneration initiatives like Ponce City Market and Lee + White have been developed. It functions better than New York City's renowned High Line because it links the city with public art and activities. Cheap DTW flights from Detroit to Atlanta make it simple to get to Myrtle Beach, which is home to a wide variety of attractions and delectable culinary establishments.

Eating

There are many dining options along the BeltLine, with the majority being found around the Eastside Trail. On Western connections, though, more are starting to appear, like Krog Street and Ponce City Markets. Continue your exploration to uncover other restaurants, including ones that are near or on the paths.

Krog Street Market

The city's most well-known dining attraction is Varuni Napoli, a former stove factory that now houses a variety of eateries, including bars like Ticonderoga Club and Hop City, Mediterranean cuisine at Yalla, Tex-Mex at Superica, and pizza at Krog Street Market.

Kevin Rathbun Steak

Before the Eastside Trail was finished, Kevin Rathbun's eateries were located in Inman Park. A fine dining restaurant called Kevin Rathbun Steak with a menu that includes dry-aged steak, rack of lamb, and truffle parmesan fries. It even backs up to the path.

Two Urban Licks

A well-liked brunch and dinner venue, Two Urban Licks offers a distinctive eating experience with bocce on the patio overlooking the path, complemented with specialty drinks and wine, which are ideal for sharing meals with friends.

Parish

On the BeltLine, the well-known Inman Park eatery Bread and Butterfly serves a range of pastries and smoothie bowls in a comfortable cafe and restaurant setting for breakfast and dinner.

Ponce City Market

Food options at Ponce City Market Central Food Hall include the renowned H+F Burger, Sean Brock's Minero Mexican restaurant, and Brezza Cucina's wine and Italian menu.

Woody's Famous Philadelphia Cheesesteaks

Beyond Old Fourth Ward, Piedmont Park offers a variety of dining alternatives as part of the BeltLine. Woody's Cheesesteaks, an Atlanta staple since 1975, delivers sandwiches evocative of Philly, delivering a taste of Philly.

Lean Draft House

Lean Draught House is a great place to have a drink and some snacks while exploring the Westside Trail. They have 20 craft beers on tap, tacos, and other Mexican food inspired by old European motorcycles.

Cafe Sunflower Buckhead

The best vegetarian and vegan restaurant in Atlanta, Cafe Sunflower, serves quinoa avocado burritos and Thai green curry bowls to both vegetarians and vegans. Despite having to navigate the residential areas of Buckhead, the restaurant provides a pleasant dining experience.

Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall

A pub and restaurant called Ladybird has a mix of indoor and outdoor areas that are ideal for a camp-like atmosphere. Shuffleboard, BBQ, handmade cocktails, and canned beer are available while you take pleasure in the communal atmosphere.

Monday Night Garage

Located in the Lee + White complex in Atlanta's West End, Monday Night Brewing is a craft beer establishment. The enterprise is flanked by small-batch food producers, Wild Heaven Craft Beers, and ASW Distillery. It also has a taproom and a barrel aging and souring facility.

Public Parks

Miles of pathways and other connected public parks, including Piedmont Park, Historic Fourth Ward Park, Gordon White Park, and Arthur Langford Jr. Skate Park, are connected by the Atlanta BeltLine. The Olmsted Brothers created Piedmont Park, which has a public pool, sports grounds, and occasions like the yearly Peachtree Road Race. There is a skate park, free yoga sessions, and events at Historic Fourth Ward Park. The second park along the BeltLine, Arthur Langford Jr. Skate Park, will eventually link up with the Southside Trail. Explore Atlanta by booking a Detroit to Atlanta flight.
