1. Coorg, Karnataka

Surrounded by beautiful mountains and covered in fog, Coorg is a nature lover’s dream place.

Coorg is best known for its diverse flora and fauna, aromatic spices and its special coffee.

Coorg is a home to waterfalls, trekking routes, forts and temples.

Coorg features the largest Tibetan settlement and Golden Temple which is a Tibetan Monastery located in Kushalanagara.

Apart from sightseeing, there are plenty of cultures, retail therapy, and delicious food to be indulged in.

Rice dishes are famous around these parts because of their availability.

One famous sweet dish of Coorg that you cannot miss is Kuleputtu which is made from the pulp of banana leaves - something worth trying.

2. Ooty, Tamil Nadu

Once you experienced the Princess of Hill Stations, now it's time to get to the Queen of Hill Stations, Ooty.

Ooty balances the hustle and bustle of city life with expansive tea gardens.

Its rolling hills and lush green forests are home to a number of animals and birds.

It’s a rural district where Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is located which is home to Asiatic elephants, tigers, leopards and egrets.

4. Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu

Kodaikanal, a hill town in Tamil Nadu, is set in an area of granite cliffs, forested valleys, lakes, waterfalls and hills.

Nestled amidst the misty clouds, this hill station is rightly called the Princess of Hill Stations.

There are challenging paths for trekkers, waterfalls to bathe in and lakes to spend a beautiful evening and plenty more.

6. Hampi, Karnataka

According to mythology, this is where Lord Rama prayed before leaving for Ravana’s kingdom to save Goddess Sita.

Apart from its religious significance, Rameswaram is known for its scenic beauty and beaches to enjoy water sports.
